I am interested in reading the Plague too.

Both books EXCELLENT!!! Cutting was very insightful as regards the country and culture of Ethiopia with some India mixed in. I cried through the end...for quite awhile. My review is on GR now the blog is on hold until computer back. Finishing EoftheH today. Really enjoying it. This work doesn't describe France in the same depth that Ethiopia is discussed in Cutting. It shows a different aspect of the people perhaps. It is more importantly a book for readers.
