Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments Someone asked me how to create italics in a post.
There are two ways:

1. If you click on "reply" under someone's post, Goodreads will include a short part of that message in your new message. That part (aka a quote) will be in italics.

2. To find out what the HTML codes are for italics, click on the following words above the comment box: "(some html is ok)"

Hope this helps.

PS-If you'd like to comment to me about this, please do it by email. I appreciate all suggestions. Thanks.

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments TO CHECK FOR UNREAD MESSAGES AT THE GROUP:

1. Go to the group home.
2. See where it says "discussion board" on the left.
3. Along that same line to the right are the following words:

topics: all | new | unread

4. Click on "unread".

5. Voila... you will see that all the unread posts are marked "new" in red.

Of course, if there are no unread posts, it will tell you that.
