ha ha - no surprise you're staking Bella - it's a bit mean when she's still human ;) that said she'd probably fall over her feet and stake herself, bless herI've not read any vampire academy or morganville - I went off vamp stories after blitzing through loads (which included a house of night and blue bloods) - they started feeling very 'samey' - I need to try Morganville though - as I've seen lots of Rachel Caine quotes that I've liked - sarcasm rocks!

I think I prefer the route the tv show is taking to the books (I've read all except the last one as they really went stale) - need to get season 4 though... what do you think? I like most of the characters better on tv which is unusual for me

I feel the same way for Vampire Diaries, love the tv show but the books are kinda boring

I tried the first Sookie Stackhouse book, but kept seeing the reply of the TV show in my head. lolI much prefer Vamp diaries and True Blood on TV than the books.
I admit I nearly stopped watched it when I found out Sookie was a fairy! Come on! But it worked out okay in the end lol

Ha - if you weren't keen on the fairy thing then don't go with the books - I recall the first 4/5 being pretty good and I liked the world Harris built - then ending up reading the next 5 or so because I'd invested the time - the characters are much more interesting on TV and the blending of 2-3 book themes with each season means that there's much more going on.
Plus - who doesn't want to look at Alcide, Jason and Eric instead of picturing them in your head :)
