Just noticed this:

Under the "home" tab (on my BC page) I see "manage social networks", which then asks me to "link to my goodreads account".

Has anyone done this? what does it do, exactly? It says someting about accessing reviews... does that mean that the reviews I write here (at GR) will be automatically sent to BC?

I have linked BC & GR, but have unchecked the box 'post book registrations' to GR. I read somewhere, that books registered at BC appear here as 'read', no matter what the status is you give them when registering.
My GR reviews do not appear with the book on BC, even if I have entered the review with a book I registered as 'owned' including the BCID. I have to add them manually.
I have been thinking to unlink BC and GR again, since there doesn't seem to be anything else that the connection is doing.

Ayone else have any experience with this?

Thanks BoekenTrol, I prefer to keep these things separate too, I think. Otherwise I'm going to confuse myself too much... and I am certainly confused enough already as it is!

I'm kind of keeping them separate.
The books I read that I did label with BC I add "bookcrossing" label, and the URL to the journal then to the private notes.
But the entries are always different... it would be horrible to do too detailed - or spoiling - entry on any BC entry, so if I feel like a longer analysis, rant, notes etc, then in GR, and under cut. The BC entries I like to keep much shorter...

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could just use the GR wishlists as BC wishlist? Some use the "to read" as a wishlist, I did create a separate exclusive "wishlist" for books I do want to read some day...

Yea, when I linked them all my bookcrossing books appeared in the "Read" category of GoodReads even when they were TBR. That was frustrating. I've unlinked them too.
