Obviously it would be great if people who have any series that they want to discuss/recommend to those of us who love series could create a new topic with their series for discussion.

This is definitely me!! I LOVE series, although I do feel obligated to keep reading the same books & authors when I'm in the middle of one. I just don't want to feel like I'm missing anything. I've read part of JD Robb's In Death series that I love but it's SOOO long!! I had to take a break from it to read other things. I've read Iris Johansen's Eve Duncan Series, James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series, and Lisa Gardner's D.D. Warren series. Loved them all and have many more that I want to read! Kay Scarpetta Series, the Alphabet Series, Harry Bosch Series, Alex Delaware series, etc.

It's not a very cerebral read, but it sure is a lot of fun.

Harry Bosch, Delaware series I can vouch for. They are really good. The Alphabet series is one I'm starting to work on. I've read a few Scarpetta, some really good and some not up to par.

Well, I adore Whedon... and Jim Butcher... Laurel K. Hamilton... and a few others, so, it looks like it could be fun.
Hamilton's pretty racy, many sex scenes, some BDSM, but the underlying mystery is still healthy.

I think the comparison o Whedon is valid, but more a comparison of styles. It's just fun. I recommended it and hope anyone who reads it has as much fun as I did. The warning is, violent, and gory, but even that is well tempered and palatable.
It's goood.

Carson of Venus
Tarzan of the Apes
were what my parents read while I was in grade school
The Dragonriders of Pern was where I started...
So, my bar is set fair high. I keep going back to the fave's... Jim Butcher, Foreigner, I'm eagerly awaiting the publication of the latest!!
David Weber's Honor Harrington... or Off Armageddon Reef.
And he does more, but that is where my eyes have gone.
Diana Gabaldon Diana GabaldonOutlander
spins a mean tale... and writes deep and long.

Yup!! Kellerman's Rina and Peter are a kick!!
Very much so. I'm waiting on the final Wheel of Time which has been pushed back...and back...and back. Same with the Obernewtyn books and the Spook's Apprentice. The end books keep getting pushed back.

there is also the "Clan of the Cave Bear" series by Jean M. Auel
The "Tudor" and "Cousin's War" series' by Philippa Gregory

The first is stopyourekillingme.com for mysteries and
fantasticfiction for almost all series.
In addition to new books being published, these websites are great lists for making a list of a series books.
