OMG..so hilarious waiting for more..
#3: The VICTORIAN INTRIGUE:
- girl who is of lower standing than other characters
- reads novels
- either through a family dinner/servitude/horrible happening sees a brooding guy whom she automatically can't stand
- (by this point, using your psychic senses, you will have figured out she will end up with him)
- is independent and shows off intellect in front of guy
- he can't stand her
- everyone else tries to put them together
- she'll have a bustling best friend (who is an air head)
- oh - there's another sweeter, nicer, AVAILABLE and attainable guy. She ignores him/rejects him on the grounds "Why, I just don't feel the same way. I wish I did (LIAR!) but I cannot return your love)
- you never hear about him again.
- her friend/some other horrible female falls for the brooding guy
- brooding guy shows interest in another girl
- SHOCK HORROR!
- she has a divine revelation..."Oh! I'm in LOVE with him!"
- he is to married to other girl/he is dying/is leaving, etc.
- plot comes in
- problem from an outside influence (told to her by a relative/priest/town gossip)
- she runs to be with brooding guy
- the other guy, who liked her, helps out and she thanks him and leaves him to be alone. (He will end up with her best friend the air head)
- solves problem
- both brooding and heroine come to terms with their love
- kiss
- marry
or
- they still don't talk about it
- a few days later they meet in a natural/garden environment/at her house/his house
- they talk, clasp hands, touch foreheads/kiss
END OF STORY (and you dab eyes with a tissue and sigh contentedly)

#4: The CLIFFHANGER:
- you start story blindly
- meet main characters, hear about their extraordinary ordinary lives, meet their mean and nasty parent/s, their siblings, their school, blah blah, blah.
- there is a problem surfacing
- you begin to understand that there is something that is really important to the main character.
- if it is a HE the important things is:
- a girl
- their freedom
- finding out a thing about their past
- missing family member (mum/dad/sibling)
- if it is a SHE the important things is:
- a boy
- rebellion/freedom/popularity
- finding out a thing about their past
- missing family member (mum/dad/sibling)
- now the main character wants this important thing
- they try to get it
- they fail once or twice
- they GET IT!!
(note: there WAS some other plot running at the same time as getting the important thing you just didn't notice it.)
- you get this sinking feeling. Like "I really hope ______ doesn't happen because that would suck MAJORLY."
Guess what?!
- ...
- they're all happy, they have friends, the plot, problem and solution came and went.
- the important things they got is given a twist
(the girl/boy is a traitor/something weird/paranormal/dies,
the freedom is taken away/they're trapped/kidnapped,
the missing person returns/gets missing again/"Luke I am your father" moment)
In other words the sinking feeling becomes REAL!! You were RIGHT!
- You scan the rest of the pages and then read ACKNOWLEDGMENTS.
- Your mind freezes
- Your flick back and forth pages searching for an answer
- And you think:
1.) WHAT?!!
2.) Is there more?
3.) I just wasted _____ hours/days/years reading this thing for WHAT?!
You end up buying the next book out of curiousity

I like to write short stories as well as novels - at the moment I'm working on 12 at the same time, which is a little difficult, but it keeps me occupied - 'cause sometimes I'll get bored of one idea so I'll work on the other!

You are most welcome, Lucinda.
Aww, thanks guys - you're all incredibly sweet and I think everyone has the ability to become authors; authors of stories as well as authors of their own lives and destinies as well :D You all are wonderful people and when you consider yourself a bookworm, you're acknowledging that spark that not only brings us together, but that shines in you and makes you capable of accomplishing anything!
#5: THE BROODING BROOD:
- Girl is new
- Brooding guy pays her attention
- According to everyone else, he never shows interest in other girls - only her!! *swoons*
- Girl engages in alot of intense-gaze-holding with said brooding guy
- Guy broods
- And broods some more
- And says stuff like "I shouldn't really be with you", or "It would be best if you stayed away from me", or the best one "I love you so much I am willing to be apart from you". *pulls a face*
- Girl ignores said guy's advice
- Guy realises after life-threatening incident that he wants to stop brooding and be with said girl
- Girl is all "OMG REALLY?!!"
- And he leans in...
- And she leans in...
- And the words "Acknowledgements" appear in Bold.

Haha ALL THE TIME! Definitely a story line stereotype:P

#1: TYPICAL AMERICAN CHICK-LIT story!!!
- there is a girl! (she has red hair)
- she does not think she is pretty, but actually...is
- she sees a guy (he is THE guy and happens to be the hottest thing since top deck easter eggs)
- he sees her (and notes how pretty she is EVEN THOUGH SHE DENIES IT)
- there is some plot
- there are bitchy girls
- a nerdy/weird guy, who may be a random or a best friend
- there are his (the hot guy's friends)
- problem!!! (she freaks out)
- solve problem
- she and hot guy go to prom.
- LIFE IS COMPLETE
#2: YA PARANORMAL FICTION story!!!
- there is a girl (she has red/unruly hair)
- she is between the age of 16-18
- she does not think she is pretty but actually IS
- has horrible parent/s that control her miserable excuse of a life
- goes to some sort of party/camp/school
- weird stuff happens
- makes eye contact with hot guy and all inhibitions dissolve when he smiles!
- she is not popular
- he (hot guy) is normally popular/a recluse
- all the girls secretly crush on said guy, but urge main girl away from him
- guy turns out to be paranormal creature/has paranormal abilities
- SHOCK HORROR - she puts distance between them
- there will be a second hot guy character to emerge, possibly in the second novel, only for her to choose the first guy
- plot, problem, solved.
- they go to prom
- some kind of cliffhanger/discussion between two random evil people
I will add more!
