Reason for looking for gold-She was dragged along by her single father to the west once her mother and twin brothers died and they lost their family money through doctor bills.
Appearence-Very slim and pale. She has rosy cheeks and reddish copper hair. Gold eyes and long black gold eye lashes.
Personality - She is very reserved and considers herself a city girl. She enjoys reading novels and poetry. She has flares of anger and her eyes flash when she does. She wants to meet some new people and go back
to Massachusetts.
Family - her family on her mothers side disowned her and her father is all she has.
Gold collected- her father hasn't been having much luck and what he does find he uses to buy beer at a saloon.
Crush- she doesn't know anyone yet.
Other- She records everything in her journal, including poetry and short stories. She misses going to school terribly.

Reason for looking for gold- Her mother died from birth of her younger brother. The baby died also. Her father took her here, then died of disease because he was so depressed he couldn't fight it off. She's looking for gold to keep herself alive.
Appearence- Very short black, unkempt hair and navy blue eyes. Just about the right size for her age, maybe slightly taller, very thin, long legs. Pretty.
Personality- Shy and quiet, Lyra keeps to herself and stays away from where most others are digging. She doesn't yell out when she finds gold and she doesn't call others over to help her. If people come to dig around her, she gets up silently and leaves to go to another place normally. She likes to be alone and is pretty anti-social. She has no friends. But she loves to draw. And she is EXTREMELY good at it.
Family- All dead.
