"If there's enough time, before dawn, when I get back."
"Dinner with Sally, her parents, and my parents," he said, bitterly.
"Hey," he said, taking her head in his hands, "I love you, and only you, I can barely stand Sally, the only reason I'm going is because she said she'd kill you if I didn't."
"Really," he looked at his watch and saw his 10 minutes were almost up, "I have to go now, she only gave me 10 minutes."
"I love you so much and I never want to hurt you," he kissed the top of her head, then got up and left.
He felt horrible leaving her, but he wanted to keep her safe. He walked downstairs and to the car.
He got in the car and glanced over at Sally then started the car.
He drove off, hating Sally and himself.
He drove to the place they were meeting their parents.

He got out and waited for Sally to get out, not opening her door.
He returned her glare with a slight smirk.
He pulled his arm away from her and followed her inside.
He smiled to himself as he walked.
He glanced at Sally and saw her smiling evily, "what?"
He put on a fake smile as he walked in with her.
He pretended to be happy as they talked and laughed, but all he could think about was Alice and how hurt he was when he left.
He pushed her away, glaring at her.
((ok))He walked inside and searched for Alice, when he couldn't find her he panicked. What if she ran away, he thought, what if she was kidnapped?
He walked into his room and saw the letter on his bed. He walked over to it and picked it up, opening it.
He read the note over several times. Then he buried his face in his hands. I will save her, he thought, even if it's the last thing that I do.
Chris caught Alice's sent and started to follow it.
((haha, lol, it's ok))When he got to where the car was waiting to take Alice, he lost her scent and he growled in frustration.
Chris loved Alice so much that he felt her pain as Sally beat her up. When he felt her pain he knew where she was, so he ran there, at vampire speed.
He was outside by the lake, trying to figure out exactly where she was.
He saw them throw her in and he dived in the lake. He swam over to her and grabbed her. Then he surfaced and put her up on the ground next to the lake.
He quickly untied her and started doing CPR on her.
He kissed her forehead then picked her up and ran, at vampire speed, home. When he got there he carried her up to his room and laid her on his bed.
He got a wet rag and used it to clean up the dried blood.
He finished cleaning up the dried blood, then he gently wiped her dried tears away with the rag.
He sighed as he looked down at her. This is all my fault, he thought.
He stayed with her the whole time she was unconcious.
He gave her a small smile when she opened her eyes, "hey."
He saw her eyes fill with tears so he took her in his arms and held her close.
"Shh," he said quietly and rubbed her back, "you're safe now, I promise. I won't let you get hurt again."
"Why wouldn't I," he asked, holding her close and stroking her hair.
He gently tilted her head up. "I love you so much," he said before kissing her.
"I know," he said, quietly, "by the way how are you feeling?"
He put a hand on top of hers, "are you sore anywhere?"
He nodded, "I'll keep you safe, I promise. If someone wants to hurt you, they'll have to kill me first."
He hugged her back and gently wiped the tear away, "this isn't your fault, it's mine."
"I would not be happily married, I would be married to someone I can hardly stand, I would be miserable."
He shook his head, "stop talking like that. I love being around you and the only reason I have to worry is because of Sally."
"Really," he said kissing her forehead, "you're the best thing that's happened me."
He smiled and held her close, "are you hungry or thirsty? You were asleep for about four days."
