In some aspects of the novel I connect with the book with my own personal life.
Some of the similarities is that we both have to overcome fears and challenges life throws at us whether we life it or not, how we both take responsibility for our younger siblings, friends and family, the loss of someone or something very special to us for example Katniss losing Rue in the arena and last but not least Katniss and I had to face the changes in life within few months of our lives. It was a massive leap to maturity and independence. Of course the independence and maturity I'm talking about is moving onto High School although Katniss is a different case. She had to fight for her life in a game show, hoping that she would make it alive.
