I heard she just had a baby, so she will be working on book two quite slowly :(

Im dying when is the sequel coming out!

I hope she becomes inspired and it magically gets done.

Yes, she did just have a baby (with in the last month).
I emailed her and she plans on getting back to book two as soon as she can.

I really hope Emily comes back as some kick-ass girl determined to kill spider and Carly in revenger for Cameron's "death" but then she finds out he's actually alive. And when i say seguel I mean like the second book is two-three years later and during that time Emily learns how to become like a ninja and have awesome technology skills (like Lisbeth in girl with a dragon tattoo.) and is on the hunt to destroy the people the people that "killed" and "Betrayed" Cameron. But she still doesn't know he's alive and Carl, Spider and them don't know who's causing this.
that's my dream for the second book.
oh and the baby well just pop that sucker out. I want a second book!

I was just thinking that exact thing :) It would be Cam scrambling to try and stop her from killing his friends. He would think "wholly crap" did I scr*w up and underestimate this girl. Now how am I going to fix it without sending her further over the edge because of my stupid decision to fake my own death and break her heart? This could be so good!

Trisha & Sama...I'm on the same page with you. I want her to come back like an alpha female ready to get revenge on Spider. I would love for her to be a total bad ass woman, hard as nails, and super tough. Of course, she BETTER make Cam suffer a little for being such a jerk and letting her go! She needs to show him that not only can she live in "his" world, she can "rule" it!

She was so set on promising to kill Spider. I can't believe Cam did that but then again, I understand why he did. He didn't want her tainted by his lifestyle and knew that she could do something more. And he knew that eventually, everybody would come to realize how much he truly loves her and can use that against him.

But I understand her as well... why would she want to leave behind people that knew her brother, whom she loved the most? It was like they were a constant reminder of her brother, in a good way. And Cam is obviously her first love and she wasn't ready to let that go. I hope she kills Shield too and becomes the biggest crime boss bitch ever!

She can use Bill's money to learn how to be super bad ass with her gadgetry and stealth skills. She's gonna be PISSED when she finds out Cam faked his death. All that pain and sorrow she's going through. The sequel will be very promising...I'm hoping anyway!

Im right there with all of you guys!! I have this vision of her using Bill's money to go all "Fight Club" (Kill Bill and Girl the the Dragon Tattoo as you guys said) and learn to fight, breaking out some bad ass ninja skills.. learn to shoot, become an awesome techy and start reeking havoc all the while they are trying to find out who the new opposition is.. And I hope she goes after Shield too. At least hurt him a little..lol. She could probably get away with taking him out since she's not actually a crime boss and they can't come after her like they could Cam and the Crows.. right?

I really loved Cam and Emmy's relationship and how it came together.. his stalkery knew no bounds...lol.. And I get why he decided to cut her out of his life.. he wanted to protect her but the way he did it was horrible. He made her believe he was dead.. that didnt just break her heart, that broke her soul.. She lost yet another person who she felt kept her glued together. I can't wait to see what happens when she learns he's alive... she's definitely going to be mad!

I can't wait for book two! I hope we get an idea of its release soon. This was a terrific read!

I agree that she has to come back as HELL on wheels. I think she can sneak right in and start messing with Spider, Carly, and Cam through Pop the old guy distributor. This may be how she finds how just how deep her revenge will have to go. Cam is going to have to suffer for a long time before he earns her back. And of course one of my first thoughts is she might have a secret of her own, like maybe she got pregnant during their short time together. I knew to wait on this book for when the sequel, but I loved the story!!!!

I emailed Julie too and she was kind enough to reply. Same thing others stated, she's busy with two kids under 2. But she is planning on writing a sequel, and she will post info about the publishing of the sequel on Goodreads and her website as soon as she has a date.

Now in regards on how I foresee the second book:
- Misunderstanding leading to revenge?
- Unexpected Pregnancy?
- New love prospect in Emmy's life?
And I have a whole loads of other ideas related to Cam's 'Business'.

I totally agree with all those ideas..though..the pregnancy one would be to dull I guess...because she wont be the tough and dangerous redhead who takes revenge of those who betrayed the love of her life if she has a baby at home she needs to take care of. Once you have kids that will be the most important thing..she would savior the baby..the only 'thing' whats left of him.. but hey who knows maybe julie can make a badass mom of her...the idea is cute..but Im sure he would have known if she had a baby because Im sure he will follow her /has her followed secretly to be sure she is safe and ok.

I cant wait for any news about this second book though..please dont let us wait to long :)

Actually the pregnancy thing crossed my mind too.

It could turn into a turf war and therefore Cam and the Gang would have no choice but to protect the child. No doubt if Shield found out, he would use the child as a dangling carrot. I think that could be a really interesting angle.

After a few months of sleepless nights, I'm finally getting a "bit" more sleep as well as the urge to carry around a note pad...a very good sign for me. Getting back into the swing of things. Already a few chapters into the sequel. But no hints on where Cameron and Emily's story is going next ;-) Keep writing! Motivation for me to finish faster!

I loved your book Julie, and I'm really looking forward to the next installment. It will be interesting to see where you take Emily and Cameron.

I agree with all the posts above! Emily turning into a kick-ass woman seeking revenge would make to be an awesome sequel.

I'd also like to see Griff working with her. Their friendship was so genuine and Griff seem to care a whole lot about Emily and her safety. He could be her second-in-command, and potential new love interest? Although I still think Cameron and Emily are meant to be, I'm a sucker for a good love triangle :P

I am loving everyones ideas for the second book... I can't wait. I just don't want there to me too much other love interest drama with Emily... She loved him and needs to forget about other love interests and seek revenge only to find out he's still alive. Another love interest would be an unnecessary complication and silly drama. There is enough exciting things that can happen with her and revenge. Literally can't wait!!!!!

I can not wait for the second book to come out! I think this was one of the best books I have ever read! :)

I know so many authors do the whole unplanned pregnancy thing and it ruins the book, but I think the 2nd book could use this as a basis for drama. Before anyone jumps on me for bringing it up, hear me out. The book ended the way it did because Cameron didn't want Emily to be harmed anymore than she already was. In many parts of the book it is brought up that anyone close to him is in danger and anyone he loves can be used against him. Emily could still be a strong, kick ass chick. What woman would not kill for their child to protect them and keep them safe. Just some thoughts...

So glad there's going to be a second book!! YAY :D

I want her back as a trained badass chick --trained by Griff-- she can pay off his debt he owes with her brothers money while he traines her. She's gotta get ahold of Pop to get back in the underworld. She just cant go back to her life, she has seen and experienced too much and she has to get revenge for Cameron. I cant wait until she runs into to Cameron and his "family".

Seems that most of us are on the same page. I finished this book last night and kept waking up thinking about what will happen in the 2nd book!
I for sure want a bad ass Emily hell bent on revenge! There's no way she's going back to her previous life of a "normal" college student. She might try but she's been changed forever by Cameron and his life.

I also had an idea about his tattoo for this bullet wound. Instead of getting a cross around the one he took in the shoulder, he should get a heart or something. You know since he did it for love and all.

Tre, I was thinking the same thing about her being trained by Griff! She could use her brother's money to pay off his debts and get him out of his current life and get him to work with her.
I thought about the possibility of her finding out she's pregnant, I wouldn't be against it. Might work nicely into the story but it might really complicate things too.
I thought about her going back to Pop and somehow convincing him to help her get back at them. But then I was thinking that if that were the case, she'd probably somehow find out Cameron was alive before she should be finding that out.

There are so many possibilities!!! I really am going to be obsessing about this until the 2nd book comes out..

I was thinking the same thing about being a mom complicating her somehow, and him finding out. She'd have to use her brother's money to get far away.She seems to have enough money to do that somehow.

Agreed. If she had another love interest I think she would lose her motivation to take down the people she is seeking revenge on.

Hey chicks...I've just updated myself on all the posts and I have say I agree that I'm not sure she needs another love interest. I see her more as seeking revenge and pushing forward with that. Now, the pregnancy thing crossed my mind, but that could be a little predictible. I wondered if Emily was kidnapped by Cameron's enemies again if he woudln't step up...of course realizing that removing her from his life didn't protect her, but put her in more danger.

Could you imagine the scene when she realizes he's alive...a total WTF moment.

Just finished the book & I am going crazy! Such a good story and one of my new favorite books. I just love Cam and Emmy. I need book 2 like right now! I love everyones theories for the second book and agree that Emily should come back kicking ass. :)
I can't wait to see how it's all gonna play out when Emily finds out Cam is alive and well... she should kick his ass as well for what he put her through.
Does anyone know if there is a date set for the second book to come out?

Yeah, I totally love to see her go up against shield.. I think he would still be after her even if he doesn't think she has the money any more.. she knows who he is. It never made sense that he'd leave her alone.. so Im interested to see how that part of the story plays out.

I dont like the idea of another love interest either.. and I agree.. I'd think she would just be contemplating revenge of some sort.. or maybe even just trying to get her life back on track after everything thats happened.. I can't see her looking for love.. and it would be totally interesting if Cams enemies did seek her out.. would he show himself? I can't help but think he'd still be keeping an eye on her, even covertly.. And I can't wait until she finds out his still alive.. that will definitely be a WTF moment for sure! Ohhhh.. Im excited.. I hope we get an idea for release soon :)

I think she's still writing the book Meagan..so I haven't seen a release date yet. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Im thinking on the same line as some of you ladies are. Would love to see Emmy come back kicking some ass, using the money to teach her to be a ninja. So I saw the second book is called scare crow so i assume Cameron will be hidden for most of the book, probably still stalking her, no doubt lol. I hope the book starts from a year or two later from where it ended from the first book. I was thinking she might get Griff to help her out, teach her to fight etc. exchange for her to pay his debts. I hope there is no other love interest. Mostly excited to read when Emmy realizes Cameron is still alive.

Totally agree when you say that she should come back as some kickass kill bill type. But i think that she should have a miscarridge and then she would be really mad and wanting to take revenge twice as much. Can't wait till the second book.

I guess I am the minority here lol I was hoping Emily would be pregnant. Lol she can hire griff to capture victor and go in for the kill with a gun while being pregnant. Haha

I don't know if her working with Griff is a good idea. He would know that Cam is still alive. But who knows.... :)

I did enjoy this, I hope to see Cam stand up and go for Emily. I have a feeling she will seek revenge and realize too late cam is alive. Loved this book, I just felt that there was too much going on at times and some scenes should of been elaborated.

Has anyone read Sins and Needles by Karina Halle? Looks like it may be good.
