"According to IMDB, Dan Grigori will be played by Alex Pettyfer, who played John from I Am Number Four and Kyle from Beastly! To be honest, I was expecting they would cast someone who's less known, but this casting choice is totally fine by me. Plus, I would be lying if I said I didn't find him attractive (he used to model for Gap and Burberry).
Another notable star who'll be playing Roland Sparks is actor Khleo Thomas, who was also in a book-to-movie adaptation, Holes. I snooped a bit on his IMDB page and saw that since Holes he's been keeping busy with a variety of TV shows and movies, most notably CSI, House, Walking Tall, and Roll Bounce. With productions like these, I'm fairly certain Khleo will do more than a great job.
The ladies who'll be playing Arriane Alter and Gabbe Givens respectively, are the lovely Elizabeth Gillies and Indiana Evans. I recognized Elizabeth from somewhere but couldn't really place her, until I realized that she was Jade West in Victorious and iCarly. Elizabeth and costar Indiana both have a string of TV series under their belts, which makes me confident in their abilities.
Keep in mind that this cast has not yet been officially confirmed. However, this is a promising start in my opinion, as it gives me a better picture of who's who, and who I'd like to see. I'm so excited about this movie that I've even created a new thread over in the Lauren Kate forums, Fallen Movie Casting! I hope to see you Buzzers around there to chat about it as we get more news on development. I'm kind of hopeful that Ed Westwick will channel Chuck Bass' charming, bad boy self as Cam, but that's just me."

More info from Examiner.com:
"The much-anticipated film adaptation of Lauren Kate's Fallen book series has now made significant progress with the selection of Oscar-nominated director Scott Hicks to lead the project.
According The Hollywood Reporter, Hicks is now circling the job of directing Fallen, a southern supernatural series, and the film is to be shopped around at the European Film Market at this month's Berlin Film Festival.
Hicks, an Australian director who was nominated for two Academy Awards in 1997 for his film Shine, has also directed quite a few romances, like The Lucky One and Hearts In Atlantis.
Disney was originally expected to ready the film for release in 2012, but it'll be Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray's Mayhem Pictures and IF Entertainment which will finally give the highly popular series some cinematic life.
Fallen, a four-part series, has sold an estimated ten million copies in thirty different countries and languages. It follows Lucinda "Luce" Price as she is sent to a reform school in Savannah, Georgia and finds herself tangled in a gripping love triangle.
Author Lauren Kate, whose final Fallen installment landed on shelves January, 2012, is now set to release her next trilogy of books, starting with Teardrop this fall."
