The FAYZ: The Gone Series discussion

Hello there, everyone! I'd like to humbly introduce myself as Rosii: lover of books, theatre, anything edible, alternative indie music, dancing blindfolded (If you haven't tried it, I strongly suggest it.), coffee shoppes, old television sitcoms, those Chinese lantern things, and Harry Potter/Sheldon Cooper. (It's a close tie. Nah, Potter wins. Always.) First of all, you're all probably going to be like, "Hey, who's this random, new chick just busting into our tightly packed crew, attempting to start a post? Who is this Rosii chick anyway? Why does she spell it with two 'i's?' Does she think she's cool or something?" 1. The answer is yes, why yes I do. 2. I doubt any of you will remember me, considering it's been almost a year. (Approx. the amount of time since Plague came out.. Psh, purely coincidence.)
However, just for kicks if any of you were curious, I used to have an account called "Rose-Is-Rose" or something like that. Eventually, I became distracted and drifted away from goodreads, forgetting my password somewhere along the way. Huzzah for responsibility. Now I'm rambling. Classy. So pretty much, my soul has been about to implode ever since I read the last page of Fear, and all I want to do is discuss it with someone other than my own brain or my basset hound named Herb who pretends to listen but I think that's just an act, and none of my friends have read the series so I crawled back to this website searching desperately for a discussion on Fear but I couldn't find one - or my password for that matter, so therefore.. *deep breath*

I have Fear, but I started reading the first chapter and realized I didn't remember a thing that happened in Plague. Could anyone give me a recap?

Yep, and there were these insects that grew to xxxxxxl size and ate you inside out. Dekka got infected with them so sam used his power to cut her up while lana kept her alive(barely) and dakka makes her confession to brianna. Cain comes back from his island with dinan(pregnant with a two bar) and helps finish off those insects Oh,oh and Little pete get super flu(plague) and when those insects would be about to eat every1 Astrid gets fed up and drops little pete down to those insects to end the FAYZ, who, just before he touches the ground makes the insects and his body 'gone' and the wall stays . And Drake/brittny would be diying to get LP for gaiaphage, so when LP's gone he goes back to his master. Sam and Cain split up. Sam goes to the lake while Cain rules Peridido beach. Astrid get's upset whit what she did to LP and goes off into the wilderness.

At last there is a chapter form LP's pov that says he got rid of his mutilated brain and body and now he can think clearly and that the gaiaphage was afraid of him.

Oh, and Lana gets a boyfriend named Sanjit.

1. How do you guys feel about the whole clear barrier thing? I'm betting that a lot of kids are going to get hung up on the fact that they can see their parents, so they're just going to sit there and not work or anything. Like Harry Potter and the Mirror of Erised, if that makes sense?
2. For some reason, I love the fact that Edilio's gay. Also on that note, I still want Brianna and Dekka to get together. AND Caine and Diana. I wanted to cry when Penny cemented his hands. Sicko.
3. Gaia.. Kinda odd right? Not really much to say about her, but she totally freaked me out.
4. MG never further explains Jack's condition. We're left off with him practically dead... Do you think he's still alive? OH and Mary's death.. That was just strange. But I like how he included excerpts from "outside" the FAYZ barrier.

NO,nononononononnoo! I didn't want Edilio to be gay! I mean, he's been one constant in an equation full of variables (I had a math test today) and him being a gay somehow spoiled it!

Penny was pretty brave to try (and succeed) in cementing Caine's hands, and I think that cooled a little of Cain's ego.

I think he's alive...It's not MG's style to let someone die without grotesque graphics of their death. I was quite surprised by how easily Howard died. Poor fellow.

Ok so I'm new to good reads and figured id start with my favorite series and this is what I found, can't really discuss books with my friends because they're just not into it guess that's what happens when you hang with stoner/skaters but anyways I think its pretty cool seein all these people talk about the gone series.

I read some spoilers on a forum. So I kept paying very close attention to every part including Roger and Edilio and I just kept laughing!

1. How do you guys feel about the whole clear barrier thing? I thought it was genius really. But its kind of worse than having the barrier taken down. They are a sideshow attraction now, being judged all of the time. I honestly think there is no way for them to come out and become..."normal" again.
2. I kind of hate the fact Edilio's gay. Mostly because it came out of nowhere...? If MG built up to that maybe, then it would be okay. It just shocked me..plus I love Edilio, but thats not gonna work out anymore x)

I think the clear barrier is crazy, and it sucks that Sam's mom and other people saw what he just did and the results of the fight they just had (Penny's crushed head). Gaia is pretty creepy, the whole growing up fast especially. I think Jack might make it, he just might be in critical condition. Edilio being gay is kinda..eh I'm not gonna say i approve and I'm not gonna say I disapprove but it was a surprise.

MG probs killed Jack, I mean he's not needed...

Will that effect Brianna?

Clear barrier rullezzzzzzzzzzz!!!! I mean now the kids will have to deal with all kinds of pressure from outside while coping with the inside and my liking roots from the one scene where Sam gives the cameras the look and then burns penny up!!! OMG! I actually, literally swooned when when he did that!!!!!!!!!!!
