New World discussion

This rocky coast is incredibly desolate. Only those who are either mad or are loners live here. Roleplay

A man wandered, babbling as he picked up seashells. "Sally shelled sea clams by the seashore, Sally shelled.." A dart came out of nowhere and hit him. Slowly the man sunk down into the rocks. He was dead.

A tall woman came our of nowhere with a dart gun.

"One down, a hundred more to go." She says after examining the dead man.

(((Uck!)))

(((I mean, ick. Or ugh. Or both. Or uck.)))

A chittering comes from the boulders. The woman whirls around, seeing no one. She quickly takes something off the man and runs. A small monkey creature leaps in and sniffs the body.

The creature is blue with five legs. It starts to moan and squeal after smelling the body.

It shrieks and chases after the woman. It continues to shriek. Something has upset it.

"Get away from me, you beast." the woman shoots a dart but the creature dodges it.

The thing jumps on her, screeching, It attaches to her head and she falls to the ground.

"It my right, thing! Get off me!" she screams as it attacks her face, scarring it deeply.

A man walks out of the fog. "Frostbite, Your job is done." The thing climbs off of her and runs to its master. They both disappear into the fog as the woman's face begins to freeze though the weather is warm.

The waves crash on the rocky shore and almost carry the woman away, but she manages to grab hold of the ground.

She knew she din't have long to live. Maybe 5 five 10 minutes. That ice monkey had done serious damage.

She is about to give up and die when a pair of hands drags her. She feels a fire near her left side.

She may acutually survive. At this point its obvious she will now be blind forever but that's nothing compared to death.

A strange lotion is patted on her face. She gaps and tries to wipe it off, but the hand stops her. "This will help the wounds on your face." A stern voice says. "Don't touch it."

"Who are you? I can no longer see." The woman says in her classic old fashioned way.

"I am Whiteglow. Stay there." The hand withdrew and returned with some bread, putting it in the woman's hands. "Eat this."

"Ok." She said. "I'm Shadow." She ate the bread.

Whiteglow turns around. "What will you do now, Shadow, now you are blind?"

"I do not know. Learn to live life without the grace of sight, I suppose." Shadow says. "I apoligize dor feeling the need to ask but are you a man or a woman? I feel I will have to learn to tell by ear rather than by eye."

"A woman. Sometimes." Whiteglow said. Shadow heard the footsteps of a big animal walking away. The next morning, she discovered a walking stick and a canteen. But there was no Whiteglow.

Shadow sat up and scratched her head. What was going on here?

*Come,* said a voice in her head.

Who was that? She whirled around before she remembered she was blind. Shadow continued to carefully check the ground around herself.

*Come follow the rocks North till you come to an old shrine.*

Shadow felt along with the walking stick she held. Slowy but surely, she made her way north. A raven took flight, cawing loudly.

She grabbed for her dart gun to try to kill it, but she couldn't find it.
