(I sincerely apologize for the late posting.)

The month of May, I've found out, is also the Date Your Mate month. This got me thinking for the categories for the May challenge, considering that I have been lacking inspiration lately.

Duration: May 1 - May 31, 2012

I call this challenge the May-ting Challenge. All our categories are loosely related to the mating and pairing of main characters. Feel free to write a brief explanation on why you think your book fit the category.

1. Fated to be Mated: Read a book where the main couple's relationship is based on this theme: mated pairs, soul mates, destined lovers, etc.

2. It's All About The Chase: Read a book where either the male or the female 'pursues' the other, either literally or figuratively.

3. Torn Between/Among Lovers: Read a book with a love triangle or with more than one love interest.

4. Opposites Attract: Read a book with unusual pairings (e.g. human/non-human, vampire/werewolf, etc.)

5. Together Forever: Read a book where the book/series revolved around the same couple (e.g. Cat and Bones, Anna and Charles, Kate and Currran, etc.)

6. Fish Out of Water: Read a book where one of the characters have to survive in a totally alien world (can include time-travel) and look upon the other person to help him/her.

7. You and Me Against the World/Will Save the World: Read a book where our main couple is either trying to save themselves or trying to save the world.

8. Alone I Stand: Read a book about a tough chick or hero with no clear-cut love interest. It's just all about the story and the action.

It's however you want to interpret it. Most seem to be making two different categories but there's even someone up there who isn't making a different category at all and is just reading two books each for two of the stated categories. The way it's written though, you could definitely have 9&10 be one category with two books of different authors.
