That's an interesting idea Eliza. I wouldn't use Dropbox since I have that hooked up to my desktops as well, but I'm sure Box.net would also be a good alternative. I might look into that.
You can't put sugar sync on your nook, unless it's unlocked. All my books are on my computer and I use it from there. I just plug my nook into the computer and transfer them over.I buy a lot of epubs from Kobo because they have coupons, plus, I buy the books I don't want to automatically download from the bn store to my kids' devices from them. No direct download for the nook when buying from a different store. I do put my nook store purchases on the computer also. mostly because my daughter likes the iBook app more then the nook app for iPad and I need to strip the drm off the books so that she can read them in iBooks. Calibre is a great program to use on the computer to keep your digital library organized.
I have not rooted (unlocked) my nook. For whatever reason it just would not work, my phone was easy I thought the nook would be, too. I move books onto my nook from my computer using calibre. But, now I have the HD+ and am waiting for instructions to come out so I can try again. Just google "how to root nook color" and several ways will come up. But, if you're not very computer savvy I wouldn't recommend trying this. I think you can buy an sd card called N2A that is very similar to rooting without actually messing with the nook's operating system.
does anyone actually share their epub books? I'm thinking of getting a sugarsync account for my epubs but was hoping to share and trade, etc and don't want to pay for the account if I can't do that. anyone know of any groups on here for trading with either drop box or sugarsync?
