Michael (Mai) (maiinwonderland) Have you guys read Need by Carrie Jones? I finished it the other day and thought it was awesome. It's about Pixies and Werewolves. The first book was mainly about werewolves but I hear it gets more heavy with pixies in the next couple of books. Regardless it was really good.

Michael (Mai) (maiinwonderland) I'm reading (and re-reading) The Mortal Instruments series after that I'm diving into the Need series.

I have the city of souls to read. There is a lot of talk on the discussion board about the movie they are making, also about who is starring as Jace.

Michael (Mai) (maiinwonderland) I've had City of Fallen Angels on my shelf since it came out and still haven't read it. That's why I'm starting all over.

Carole (4liverpool) | 27 comments I know what you mean. Sometimes when I read a series and there is a gap when the next book comes out, you forget things and aren't in the zone. It doesn't happen to me when I discover and author and the series books are already out. Then I plow through them. Like Karen Marie Moning Fever series. I have heard she is doing another one, so I will be like you and have to reread to get full impact.

Laurel | 22 comments I haven't been doing that, but I probably should. Each series has its own pace and depth and such, and getting back in the zone (and like you say, refreshing the details) probably makes the story more enjoyable.

I plowed through the Need series a few months ago not knowing the finale wasn't out yet. I was all set to see how it ended, then... noooo! I did get to read the last one a few days ago, though. Great series. :)

I too need to get back to TMI. I plowed through the first three several months ago, but haven't gone back for 4 & 5.

Michael (Mai) (maiinwonderland) I'm lucky I started the Need series so late in the game.

Carole (4liverpool) | 27 comments Blood Faerie (Caledonia Fae, #1) by India Drummond
What first drew me to this book was the cover! It was really captivating! I was surprised to learn that the author, India Drummond designed all the covers herself. If this was an indication of her talent, I had hoped that the story would be just as captivating.
Well I wasn't dissapointed.

This isn't your typical fae story with the unseelie and seelie courts.
India has dreamed up a different type of fae and it works.

Her description and narrative skills get the reader entranced.
The main characters are really intriguing and you see them develope slowly as the layers are exposed, just like an onion.

This series promises so much intrigue and fantasy! Right now there are 3 books in total, but I understand that there will be a total of 6 books.

I highly recommend this series to read! You will not be disappointed!

Laurel | 22 comments Thanks for the recommendation -- I've almost tried this one a couple of times, since it's available via Amazon Kindle Lending, but I keep getting sidetracked. Putting it on my list!

Carole (4liverpool) | 27 comments I just wanted to let everyone know that I just finished a great book on the Fae. It is a trilogy and the authors name is Jenna Bernel who wrote The Secret Trinity:Unearth The Secret Trinity Unearth (Fae-Witch, #1) by Jenna Bernel The Secret Trinity Ignite (Fae-Witch, #2) by Jenna Bernel and the third book Reigne will be coming out shortly. It is a really interesting read with plenty of intrigue and character building. I really love the main characters.
