NBC is the first broadcast network to unveil its official game plan for the 2012-13 TV season, and the biggest news regarding returning shows is that Community is relocating to Fridays at 8:30/7:30c where it will follow Whitney. Also of note: Smash is being benched until midseason and The Office has formally been renewed for a ninth season.Among new fare, the J.J. Abrams/Eric Kripke thriller Revolution has landed Smash‘s plum Monday/10 pm time slot after The Voice, and the Matthew Perry sitcom Go On will be paired with Ryan Murphy’s comedy The New Normal on Tuesday.
On tap for midseason, in addition to Smash: new cycles of Celebrity Apprentice, Fashion Star, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers and The Biggest Loser; new comedies Save Me, 1600 Penn and Next Caller; and new dramas Do No Harm, Infamous and Hannibal.

Matthew Perry cracks me up... I could watch him all day! Loved him on The Good Wife too. Wish he would stick around on there. And yes, Mistresses is based on the Brit version :)
I liked Matthew Perry on GW too I've seen season 1 of the Brit version of Mistresses but haven't got around to season 2.
I watched it several months ago. It's juicy drama. Moves much faster then US tv so at first it was a turn off but now that I realize that, I may have to look into the second season. Will it work I the US? I don't know, maybe but it would have to be real drama and not like the campy Desperate Housewives and Co.
Drat. Netflix Watch Now only has season 1.
CBS on Wednesday morning revealed its primetime line-up for the 2012-13 TV season and here are the headlines: Two and a Half Men is Thursday-bound, while The Mentalist has replaced now-cancelled CSI: Miami on Sundays. Meanwhile, freshman hit 2 Broke Girls has netted Men‘s coveted Monday at 9 pm perch.Among new shows, the Sherlock Holmes-esque Elementary will air Thursdays at 10 pm after Person of Interest, while the Michael Urie-David Krumholtz comedy Partners has been slotted after How I Met Your Mother on Mondays.
On tap for midseason: Undercover Boss, as well as new series Friend Me, Golden Boy and Mark Burnett’s latest reality gamble, The Job.

I'm thinking I'm going to love the ABC Sunday night line up as well!!
The CW, last but not least, on Thursday morning revealed its primetime line-up for the 2012-13 TV season — and it featured good news for Supernatural fans and bad news for Ms. Tyra Banks.After spending the past two seasons in TV purgatory (a.k.a. Friday night), the Brothers Winchester are relocating to Wednesdays at 9/8c following new comic book series Arrow. That paves the way for America’s Next Top Model to assume its new death slot on Fridays at 8 pm.
Elsewhere, Hart of Dixie is moving from Mondays at 9 pm to Tuesdays at 8 pm where it will lead into the new Mamie Gummer-led medical drama Emily Owens, M.D. (formerly called First Cut). And the Beauty and the Beast reboot is the beneficiary of the CW’s cushiest timeslot — Thursdays at 9 pm after The Vampire Diaries.
Finally, Gossip Girl‘s final 11-episode season will air Mondays at 9 pm; The Carrie Diaries will take over in that slot at midseason.

I'm glad I didn't pick up Ringer last year, and quit Secret Circle quickly. CW's Wednesday and Thurday work for me.
I was just thinking about picking up Ringer when the first season hit Netflix. Won't bother now. Is 666 park Ave going to be a supernaturalish show? I saw a commercial but didn't get anything from it except that Justin from Brothers and Sisters is in it.

Thanks, Jackie. 666 could be interesting or could barely last a season. I'm noticiing a Vengeful trend in ABC's shows lately.
Without even seeing it yet, I don't think it'll last. Maybe I'll change my mind once I see it. I find it odd that the networks keep starting new shows with supernatural or scifi themes yet rarely give them a chance to survive. It's like they know their regular programming is boring and sucks but they're afraid to commit to the new and different shows. This half-measure is what's killing TV. Well, besides reality shows, lol
How is it the networks cant seem to figure out what we have....supernatural/sifi shows need to have at least2-3 seasons to pick up a good following. 1st season is mainly stand-alone episodes with a small on-goin plot. Wrap up major issues in the finale but leave a little something to peak interest for 2nd season.2nd season, first couple episodes should be mainly stand-alone so as not to make new viewers feel like they missed something but reference last season and start potential on-going stories. ...
Last Resort looks great. It reminds of The Last Ship by William Brinkley for some reason even though the story line is very different.The only things I will be watching from CBS is Person Of Interest and The Amazing Race.
For ABC I will be watching Last Resort, and I may try to catch up with Once Upon A Time over the summer.
Fox will be Fringe.
And NBC, I will be watching Revolution (which seems an awful lot like the Emberverse series by S.M. Stirling), the Thursday night comedy block while I do laundry, and Community and Grimm on Friday.
I am so looking forward to 666 and once upon a time restarting.Though they should have left community on thursday.
Also looking forward to person of interest coming back as well.

A two-night launch for the revamped X Factor (now with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato) kicks things off on Sept. 12, followed by Glee‘s return in its shiny new Thursdays-at-9 time slot. Kiefer Sutherland’s Touch brings up the rear, holding its sophomore premiere until just before Halloween.

Jackie, I think Beauty and the Beast starts on Thursday Oct 11. I do not know when the other two will start.
I know, that the one on CW, I'm looking for the ABC version, called 'Beast'. It's kinda stupid two channels are doing similar shows.
Happens periodically, I think; two (or I guess even more, though I can't remember an example offhand) networks having the same idea for a show at the same time.
Checked ABC's fall schedule (dreadful website), and couldn't find it listed.
Might be saving it for spring.ETA: Or replacement programming for something that fails. Because something will.
Revolution is set on my dvr to record I am excited for it though it does run opisite of castle which could be bad.
I just set my DVR for Revolution also, against my better judgement. Not the show, but it's the network I have reservations about, as you all know. But now I'll bite the bullet and see what happens.Is anyone going to watch Last Resort on ABC? I haven't decided yet.
Jackie: I have been waffling over whether to watch the premier of Last Resort. Guess we'll see how I feel about it in two weeks.
Heather, I do the same thing and then the day of determines yes or no, lol. I waffled until the last minute to record Copper on BBCA and I'm really glad the yes part of me won out. It's fabulous.
I may end up recording it to watch later. I hate giving up the entire evening to just watching TV, so often end up taping the 10e/9c ones to watch during the weekend.
