The Academy discussion

Faith stepped in the sand, the hot grains getting in her flip flops.

Darcy walks besides her looking out at the oceanic view, "So, Faith. Tell me a bit about yourself. What type of blood are you into?" His gray eyes sent asilent challenge towards her as his voice remains flirty. Darcy knows that Faith is a vampire, but that didn't stop him from liking her instantly and quite possibly romantically.

Faith was taken aback by the question. "Just animal blood, but I would use my fangs for self defense." She said growing her fangs. "so what are you? Abviously you knew I was a vampire." She said.

Rayne dug her toes in the sand as she gazed around. Would anyone notice her mermaid tail? Maybe if she went further into the ocean... Making a run for it, she dove into the water, her legs transforming into a mermaid's tail. Ah, her legs finally stopped cramping. She swam far out, smiling as she watched fish swarm around her.

Rayne was about to leave when she saw someone in the water...and he looked just like... Eyes wide, she quickly darted out before he could spot her, and transformed back into human, wearing a bathingsuit (which happened after she transformed back) and ran out of the water quickly. It couldn't be him!
She found Dani and raced toward her. "Hi!"she said , still afraid that the "special person" had seen her, and wondering why he was here anyway.

Rayne quickly shook her head, hunching over, not to catch her breath but to hide the shock on her face. "No! I just...saw a jellyfish... no big deal..." She stood up straight and smiled. "So, what do you wanna do?"

"Awesome!"she looked around, and grabbed her arm and tugged her forward. "Let's just... get out of here."

Rayne nodded. They headed back to the dorms.

Rayne walked giddily behind Dani and raised her arms in the air and danced.

Rayne looked around and finally saw Zach. Smiling, she waved him over. "Hey!" She glanced back at Dani and said to her, "dang, don't look so awkward! Move your hips more and move what your mamma gave ya!" She wondered if parties made her crazier. Oh well.

Rayne grinned. "Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself." Actually she thought he looked amazing but didn't say so. "Wanna dance?" Just then the song "We are who we are" by Ke$ha blared through the.speakers .

Rayne smiled, taking his hand and dancing again. "So, how is home without me? Unusually peaceful?"she asked.

"I thought so."Rayne shrugged. "Well, there's this really bouncy cushion in my room... nobody cares if you run down the halls."she paused. "Or they think you're bonkers. Ha. That could be it. Oh!" She grinned excitedly. "And there's this karaoke machine! You have to try it out sometime, it's amazing."

Aaron grinned, gazing at Dani as his hand touched her lower back and pulled her closer, his hand sliding down. She hadnt minded so far so he figured there was no difference now.

Rayne smiled slyly. "You know me so well,"she she said jokingly. "Yeah, there are alot of things to do, and pretty much everything you can think of... dance, musical theater... and there are some people like us too."she paused. "Wait, when you said you wanted to try the karaoke, did you mean now?"she grinned.

Aaron did not get the hint. Now his hand traveled upwards, on her upper back and on dangerous ground, not that he thought of that. He moved his hand just slightly...

Rayne nodded. "Well yeah."she grinned. "Yay!" A sudden noise little way from her directed her attention to sonething else, and her smile slid away. (She heard the slap but didnt know what it was haha)

Aaron held the side od his face, looking pained. "Yeah, you're a hot chick who I thought was cool. If you'd rather it could've been your little friend," he said, glaring.

Rayne watched, and as she heard "little friend" she felt angry and repulsed. Not that guys haven't tried before, but still. That guy made her want to slap him too. She tensed her grasp on Zach's hand unknowingly. "Jerk,"she muttered angrily.

"Someone like her? Nah, looks more like she'll be some hooker."he smirked back. "She'd be easy. Besides, everyone knows youre bluffing. Now excuse me, i have another chick to impress." He walked away.

Rayne felt angry tears stinging her eyes. Hooker? Easy? She lowered her eyes to the ground, forcing the tears not to fall. She had no reason to cry. Dani had a more reason than her. She wouldn't cry.

Rayne nodded to Dani, sniffling. She heard a crack and looked up, seeing the waiter boy on the ground holding his jaw and then Zach walking back over to them. She stared at him, then finally gave him a small smile. "Thanks,"she said quietly, grateful.

Rayne forced the anger and sadness from her face and looked at him. "I know, he's a freakin buttface."she looked forward as they walked. She could still hear music blaring behind them.

Rayne lay out two towels and sat on one of them, putting her sunglasses on and squirting sunscreen into her hand. She loved the heat of the.sun, but her skin unfortunately did not. She looked over at Dani.

Rayne put her hands behind her head and closed her eyes. She wasn't able to relax long though because her phone rang. She answered it, seeing it was her sister, but wasn't able to get a hello in before she heard accusing shouts at her. Why was Callie so angry? She thought back at something she might have done to upset her but thought of nothing. A moment later she quickly sat up and said into the phone, "What?!"

Rayne glanced at Dani, then said in the phone, "I would never do that!"She paused to listen. "I don't know why he had my necklace. Yeah, I lost it, but i don't know why he has it. I swear." Her voice rose. "What, so now avoiding is labeled as seducing? How... Gross!" This continued for awhile until her sister hung up on her. She slammed the phone down and stood. "Sorry, I ... need to be alone. I'm sorry." Without another word she left to the dorm room.

((Maybe Zach hears her crying or something in her room?))

After they got there she took the shorts off and said, "Race ya!" She grinned and started running toward the water.

Rayne changed forms and swam deeper into the water before she turned to face him and grinned, waving.

She thought back, Hi. She turned her head and saw a fish right in front of her face, and she swerved to dodge it. Ugh, she thought, you're too distracting.

(Skittles I'm back!)

"Good to hear. I'm nothing special." Darcy smiles at Faith and gently bumps his shoulder against hers. "Do you were a bloodstone?"

She grinned. Of course you would, she thought back teasing. She swam further out until she got kind of tired and stopped a moment. I really need to swim more, she thought.

Cool, do you wanna walk around campus now? she thought, smiling.

She followed, and transformed back as she reached the shore. She wished she had all her clothes when she changed back but at least she had a bikini. She found the shorts and pulled them on. "Where to?"she asked.

"Okay, let's go there,"Rayne said, smiling. She reached out and took his hand and swung it back and forth as they walked to the lake and gazebos.

Luke was out on the waves, surfing. He wished some of his friends were there to join him, but they had all been busy. Luke caught one more wave then decided surfing is just no fun when you are alone so he paddled to the shore. He saw a guy sitting in the sun. Luke set his board down and joined him. "Beautiful day, isn't it?"

(Ugh. I hwve to fix it again. Gtg in 5 min.)

Tanner glances up at the guy in front of him and stretched getting up. "You know it. You go to that Academy near here?"

Luke clasped his hands together and put them on the back of his neck. "You know it," he said with a grin.

"Cool." He settles back down next to him. "My kind of people."

Luke glanced around the beach and grinned when he was a girl walking on the beach.

Tanner rolls his eyes. "Really man? So not worth it." Returns his gaze to the rollong waves and swells.

(Lol. Thats the kind of personality he has.)

Luke sat up. "Yeah she is," he said defensively.

Tanner laughs softly. "You need to get your eyes checked. She was at most an 8."

"On a scale of one to five." He continued to watch the girl.

Tanner shook his head. "No way. Thats on a scale of ten and did you miss that crazy tisra on her head. It practicaly screams 'im a stuckup conceited snob'"
