Kris | 11 comments Well there seem to be a lot of battles and not much else. There was a whole paragraph on Guinevere. There was more about Arthur's sword -Caliburn -than his wife! And now I know his spear was called "Ron"...Perhaps that is another Arthurian link in the Weasley Family.

Shane (shanec) | 1 comments This translation is much more readable than the J.Giles edition, although you do lose the historical structure of the text. Geoffrey conveys the sense of desperation the constant warfare of the time caused. It seems that Geoffrey's methodology of history was to weave together the climactic moments of a great sweep of stories. Every event he mentions teases with more questions than it answers.
