The day I changed my employment status to "Self employed - writer" on my FB page was probably one of the happiest of my life.

I have been a lawyer, a senior executive, an army officer and now all that was in the past and I could do what I really wanted to do, write the stories I like to read. Historicals with romance. All my stories have their feet firmly grounded in the the history of the time but I do like a good romance with a happy ever after.

My passion is the English Civil War and my two previously published novels are set in that period but my NEW novel (after way too long a gap), which comes out from Lyrical in September, is something completely different.

If you're after hot sex then I am not the writer for you. My stories are about...ummm...story! That's not to say there won't be intimate relations but in the context of the storyline and the developing relationship between the protagonists.
