1. National Rose Month- Read a book with roses on the cover or the word Rose in the title.
2. National Flag Month (June 14th Flag Day)- Read a book with a flag on the cover. You may also read a book with your country/state's flag or flag colors on the cover.
3. National Zoo & Aquarium Month- Read a book with animals or fish on the cover. You may also read a book about a zoo or animals.
4. Gay & Lesbian Pride Month- Read a book from the LGBT genre. Read a book with a rainbow or the rainbow colors on the cover.
5. June is a popular month for weddings. Read a book where the protagonist gets married, is getting married, or "wedding" words appear in the title (bride, groom, bridesmaid etc). You may also read a book with a bride on the cover.
6. Father's Day (June 17th)- Read a book where the protagonist is a dad or a book about a family which the dad plays an important role in the family.
7. June Solstice/First Day of Summer (June 20th)- Read a book with a "summery" cover, takes place in the summer or the word summer appears in the title. You may also read a book in which summer time events occur such as swimming, picnics, carnivals, trips to the beach etc.
8. Trinity Sunday (June 3)- Read an inspirational(based on individual interpretation) book either fiction or non-fiction.

9. Canada- National Aboriginal Day (June 21)/St Jean Baptiste Day (June 24)- Read a book set in Canada or written by a Canadian author.
10. Australia- Queen's Day (June 11)/ UK- The Queen's Diamond Jubilee (June 5)- Read a book about a queen (fiction or non-fiction) or the word queen appears in the title, or there is a queen pictured on the cover.
Bonus Books:
11. In honor of Helen Keller's Birthday (June 27,1880) read a book written by Helen Keller or read a book where the protagonist is deaf, blind or both.
12. In honor of Charles Dicken's Death (June 9th, 1870) read a book written by Charles Dickens or a biography about him.
