In order to recuperate Tom and after months of search, George arrives to Legree’s plantation in New Orleans sent by Mrs. Sehlby after reading a letter that told where Tom was. Legree receives him without any hospitality and when he asks about Tom, Legree starts to talk angrily about his friend Tom, then a boy takes him to the place that that was Tom lying since 2 days, this image after such a long time missing him makes George cry and Tom too but now they realize that he is dying and he was fighting for his life for about two days and now he is weak. Tom doesn’t want to live anymore he wants to go with the Lord but George tries in all the ways to make him survive. While they’re traveling to Shelby’s property Tom tells all the things he wants to make his family know and dies. After that they bury Tom in a hill and all the slaves make George know they want to stay with him but Mrs. Shelby and Chloe are now disappointed and sad. About a month after George decides to emancipate all the slaves but they want to stay there because they are a family

This is where we will start writing about Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin. The chosen person (Gustavo's choice) must write a short summary of the first chapter. The objective of this is to keep a record and it should be simple, short, but complete enough for people who didn't come to class on that day to just come read the summary and understand what's happening in the story. The rest of you must read carefully what he wrote and add anything if it's necessary.
