Motiba's Tattoos, Mira Kamdar, on page 14, saw this book in a second hand store, read few pages, related to my family background, so therefore purchased it, so far, very good, Mira, describes how her motiba is, what she does, includes traditional recipes from Gujarat.
Smitha wrote: "will be on the lookout for it, I do do love books with recipes, especially Indian ones."It depends on what kind of book you enjoy, most people would rather not read about the authors experience, it combines history too. The full title adds up to the content: Motiba's Tattoos - A Granddaughters Journey Into Her Indian Family's Past.

... so far so good.... not in the league of Jeffrey Archer, but fairly good read.
Do tell me how it is. If it is not too politically embroiling and confusing, I do want to give a try.
thanks for the kind offer, but let me wait and see. I would trouble you only if I am very sure that I am going to read the book. (otherwise I would feel too guilty to have troubled you for naught)
Finished reading The Secret Warriors by W.E.B. Griffin. Review link at http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/....Started reading The Sleeping Doll by Jeffery Deaver
Poisoned Arrow (Ibne Safi)- A Faridi-Hameed mystery, translated from the original 1957 (Urdu) edition, then named 'Zehreeley Teer'.Six words for it:-
PULP FICTION AT ITS VERY BEST.
Yesterday I finished The white Tiger, Arvind Adiga...now reading, 'The Inheritance of Loss' Kiran Desai.
I loved Inheritance of Loss - have read it twice, in fact (though many didnt like it much). But white tiger was a disappointment to me.
Just in case folks here find this useful.Finished reading The Sleeping Doll by Jeffery Deaver. Review link at http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
