Nope.Let's begin...in the cafeteria I guess
Julissa was making her usual beeline for the crowded table in the back of the cafeteria filled with her friends.
Julissa passed the goth table. Weirdos she thought, she turned her head to answer the call of her friend from her table.
"Becky I'm coming." Julissa rolled her eyes as her best friend dragged her to the table. As she sat down she faced the goth table. She saw one of the weirdos staring at her and her friends.
((sorry my computer spazzed again >:( ))Julissa crossed her arms and pulled out her phone to text her friends, even though they were at the same table.
Soon enough, they decided the line was short enough for the entire table to get lunch.
((let's make something happen))After she'd gotten her salad she was walking back to her table, when she slipped on a puddle of milk and laid sprawled on the floor. Right in front of the goth table.
Julissa sat up, looking at her shirt, which was full of salad dressing, then up at him. "I'm fine," she snapped, then softer, "I'm okay, I think." she struggled to get to her feet, thoroughly embarrassed.
She blushed, automatically. "Um thanks." she brushed herself off, and in an attempt to be nice, she said, "I'm Julissa. And you are?"
"Nice to meet you." She turned away slowly not really wanting to leave the safety of the table, and have to walk across the entire cafeteria on her own, but there wasn't a whole lot of options.
This is getting awkward She thought as she slowly turned away, face red. But, as she took a step back, she stepped into that original puddle again, and to her embarassment, slipped again and fell on her butt. Julissa felt like crying
"Today is just really not my day," she said nervously, grabbing his hand, but as she stood on her ankle, she winced.
"I guess," she said, part of her whisking her friends would take her, but a bigger part of her would be too embarassed. "Thank you," she added.
She put her arm on his shoulder and started limping out if the cafeteria. She knew she was attracting stares from most of the people in the cafeteria.
Luckily the nurses office wasnt too far down the hall, but by the time they got there, Julissa was tired. Her ankle was killing her.
Julissa was scared for a moment then felt how strong he was and she relaxed, though still embarrassed and hoped no one else was in the nurses' office that she knew.
"Oh well, I've worked long and hard to wear this outfit," Julissa pointed to her cheerleading uniform, "and to sit at that table. You have no idea what they're like." she finished, snappily.
Julissa shrugged. "I guess that's pretty much it. Don't get me wrong, I love some of them to death, but as a group, your description is pretty close"
Julissa raised her eyebrows at the noise. "Why do you dress like a goth?" she asked suddenly. "I'm sorry-" she said.
Julissa breathed in sharply, wondering how to answer that. "Out of...spite I guess. Sometimes i think we are actually better then you guys, sometimes just because we don't know what else to do."
((like the new pic))Julissa made a face. "That's a little mean but possibly true. I mean why doesn't it just not make a difference what we say?"
Julissa nodded her agreement. The nurse clucked her tongue and asked for their names."Julissa Purfield" she answered.
The nurse nodded and left to get something for her ankle. once she was gone, Julissa's eyes widened. "You're a Nethers?" she asked incredulously.
The nurse wrapped Julissas ankle and told her to go home. After she left Julissa sighed. "I can't leave. My parents are out all day and my brother is away. Guess Im stuck here." she said
Her eyes lit up. She really did not want to sit at the nurses office for three hours. "Would they let you? And you have a car?" she asked excitedly.
Julissa shook her head. "I don't think I will. But at this point, I think I'll take it." She rolled her eyes. "My hair is a mess!" she said sadly. "This is not good. I guess I should go home before any further embarrassment comes my way."
She squeezed her eyes shut and stood up on her good foot, hopping around to face him. She realized she was still holding his hand so she dropped it quickly and cleared her throat.
She hobbled to the door, and looked both ways before entering the hallway, turning to face the nearest exit. It was the middle of a period so the halls were empty. Good.
Julissa couldn't help shiver at his arms. She smiled a little. "You're right." she started towards the parking lot, but they were quite uncoordinated, and could not stay in sync. She giggled.
Julissa sighed. "I wasn't excepting much, but this is a new low." she shook her head and laughed. "Are there dead bodies in the back?"
