David Nova (davidnova) Season of the Serpent (Book 1) by David Nova

Hi. Hope you don't mind me promoting my fictional book about UFOs and Roswell - I figure this would be the group to appreciate it. Anyway, "Season of the Serpent: Book One" will be FREE for Amazon Kindle, Thursday, Sept. 20 - Monday, Sept. 24. So check it out.

The Garden of Eden story is retold in this smart and satirical, contemporary fantasy ... a hybrid of Harry Potter and The X-Files ... The Wizard of Oz meets The Matrix ... a historical, metaphysical thriller where Synchronicity provides the clues.

The year is 1982. Paul Venturi is just an average, socially awkward college freshman hiding his extra-terrestrial genesis in the closet, hoping to start a brand new life on campus. Unfortunately, his reemerging telepathy and the shadow of covert government surveillance make fitting in a daunting task. But when an enigmatic Serpent in the guise of a college stoner pressures him to smoke the forbidden weed, Paul is thrust into a mind-bending world of government coverups, Gnostic revelations, and dark conspiracies.

Catapulted over the rainbow, Paul lands in the Astral realm of Yin'Dru where competing factions of immortals are locked in a bitter, cosmic stalemate waging a secret Cold War over the destiny of the human race. A reluctant Paul is cast in the starring role of Adam - a higher sentient human groomed to become their celebrity-messiah. However a sinister faction sees him as the perfect pawn to steer the United States and Soviet Union toward a nuclear Apocalypse. (Book One of Two)

D.J. Schneider (djschneider) | 4 comments I am so glad to find this group. I look forward to reading the books listed here.
I also have a new book out that I hope you all will find interesting. I just published it on Smashwords.com, which is a large site like Amazon Kindle for ebooks. It puts a twist on the crash outside Roswell in 1947. Though written as a young adult novel, it is a great read for adults, especially those from the baby boomer era. Here is the synopsis and a link:
Frankie and Beanie are thirteen-year-old boys enjoying their summer break in 1966 when Melanie Simpson, a tomboyish girl their age moves in next door and turns their summer into an adventure they never anticipated. A simple hoax ends up disastrous and things happen—from a house fire, to UFO sightings, a reported landing, and the apparent abduction of a neighbor. But these events are only the catalyst that launch the kids on a quest into the mysterious death of Melanie's father; and involves the United State Air Force, international espionage, and debris from the most famous flying saucer crash in history. Each discovery leads the kids toward unearthing a long-kept secret that puts them in great danger.
