I'm British but lived on the continent for a while and really missed a strong cuppa with milk and sugar. The best tea I've tasted was in India...

A very strong black one , served in a small glass, only cubes of sugar added..
I live in Canada :o) and cannot bear to think of life without tea! LOL! I have one right now! My favourite tea is assam. Several years back, we did have a Marks and Spencer in our (smallish) city and I used to get their Extra Strong tea. This tea spoiled me for most other teas! While I no longer can get the M & S tea here, I can buy a loose, Assam tea which is very, very lovely! I do like my tea strong and milky. Am not a huge fan of flavoured teas, herbal teas, etc. How about you? What is your favourite kind of tea?
I don't consider herbal infusions as tea at all - I like them but I consider them a completely different drink. Only the tea leaf from the tea bush makes tea. There's thread for favourite teas Nancy - check it out...

this is an old tread but I want to add that I am from Germany. as for tea... my parents are from Turkey so I grew up with Ceylon black tea. only leaves and brewed freshly. tea bags are a no go. personally I love green tea from Japan, too. and no sugar or milk that ruins the taste of the tea (no offense to anyone British, we all have different tastes :-)
I am not British but Canadian. I think that the British tradition of tea is such a romantic notion. I don't usually drink a lot of tea, and when I do I am not reading a book. I should try it!
I'm Welsh and love my tea, prefer the Valleys way of having it very strong in a very large mug than the traditional way of cup and saucer but have recently acquired a teapot large enough to keep my mugs topped up nicely so kind of going for a half and half approach ;-)
American, here.Anet, I'm not a fan of the tea-with-milk idea, but if that's what you love, drink on!
I have just come back from London, bought myself The children act by Ian M., having my pepermint tea while reading it..... Really enjoy it.. Many regards to all from Croatia......
I'm from South Africa and I love Tea (this sounds like a Tea Drinkers Anonymous meeting) and I followed Kofi here and he is Ghanian
