Kevin was walking home from work. He looked at his dirty hands, wondering if he should stop by the river to rinse them off or just wait until he got home.
Allegra was sitting under a tree by the river, pretty much hidden. She sighed and carved drawings into the dirt. Business with her livestock wasn't doing well.
Kevin nodded and looked at her. "Yes, actually, you did. I wasn't expecting there to be a girl to be sitting under a tree when I came to rinse off my hands"
Kevin tilted his head to one side, confused. Then he noticed the carvings in the ground. "Did you do these?"
((sorry I had dinner))Kevin ran back, remembering his lucky rock that was on a tree stump. He picked it up, looking at the swirling pattern

She looked up. "You're back?))
Kevin went back home. He found Celeste sitting upright on the couch, eyes closed. Kevin set his rock on the table and sat next to her, hands behind his back. "Hey Celeste! Guess what I got you!" He smiled. Once every year, on their parets anniversary, they got eachother a present. Celeste opened her eyes and smiled. Speaking softly, she got out a simple brown bag. "You open yours first" She handed him the bag and he opened it with a huge smile. It was a necklace. The necklace was chain link and simple. he put it on, his smile getting wider. He silently promised to never take it off. He handed her a box. She smiled and took it, opening it slowly. It was a bracelet. Very simple, black cord with a silver stripe "Thank you" se hugged him and went to the picture of their parents
Allegra sighed. She was upset that she had no family left, but that's the way it went. She laid down next to the river with no intentions of returning home.
Noctis crept silently through the dense foliage of the woods, his cerulean eyes constantly searching the sky and the ground all at once for danger. He currently had two daggers in each of his boots and had a sword on his back. He was looking to hunt something other than a bird or a squirrel; he needed something bigger for money. His stomach growled in protest but he would not feed himself, not yet, not until he sold something. This year was not a very good one.
She shifted, the leaves crunching under her. She carried no weapons, ever. For what reason, she didn't know. Allegra felt safe with her fists. Though that was a stupid plan, it was true.
His cerulean hues shifted, his scrutiny landing in the direction of the woods as shifting leaves sounded. Someone else or something else was obviously present. He decided to check it out and so, slowly but surely, he quietly made his way to the river where he witnessed a female. Sadly, however, she was not prey.
Celeste decided to take a walk to the river. Usually the river was lonely and just perfect for Celeste, but she sensed it would be more populated this time. She went anyways. Once she got there she sat down on a tree-stump, watching the two older people
Seeing another presence, and cursing beneath his breath at how she had already witnessed him, Noctis took a step back and hid his body behind a tree to avoid further being seen. As silently as he could he tried to creep away; he was curious for the both of them but misfortunately shyness kept him away.
((the reaping hasn't happened yet)) Celeste watched as Noctis hid himself in the leaves. She made no move to approach him or talk to him
((Pppftt, oops.))Finally out of range, he slowly began to make his way deeper into the forest, making sure to stay a little close to the river to make certain he did not get himself lost even when he knew the area like the back of his hand. A rustle caught his attention and he saw a bird in a tree above. Removing a dagger from his boot slowly, he chucked the dagger at the reptilian (birds are considered reptiles) and watched as it fell. It wasn't big but at least he could feed himself.
:) ((it's fine))Celeste's eyes followed him until he was gone. She lifted a finger an a butterfly perched on it, flexing it's wings
Locating the bird and gingerly picking it up, he removed the dagger. He tossed the bird up and down in his hand as he went back to the river to wash the dagger off. He dropped the corpse beside him as he dipped the blade in the river and his hands. He was going to have to touch the bird again but whatever.
He glanced at the girl and gave her an offhanded wave."Hey," he greeted, knowing how morbid the scene probably looked to someone as innocent as a girl who apparently adored butterflies.
He took his daggers and his hand out of the water, stuffing the daggers back into his boots and shaking his hand free of water."Something funny?" He asked. It wasn't a threat, as he was smiling in amusement.
