Eric Pettis (ericpettis) Hey guys. I just wanted to introduce my book to the forums. A few months ago I came out with Just A Minor Perspective - my story of the awkward transition from amateur to professional baseball. I would love to open up a discussion about it for those who have or are interested in reading it. On Amazon (http://tinyurl.com/6n6defp) you can read the first two chapters for free to whet your appetite. Thanks and look forward to hearing what you have to say!

Happy Reading,
Eric Pettis

Clay Snellgrove I read some blogs that covered the book. Fans of the minors should eat the book up. My own work, The Ball Player turned into fiction because so many of the things that I experienced and witnessed in my minor league career would not make my teammates' mamas very happy if put into a memoir. That's great that a record of your career took the shape of a book. Congrats! I definitely will check it out.

Thanks. I took a quick look at your book and it definitely piqued my interest as well. Could very well be next on my reading list!

I completely understand the temptations of going the fiction route. There was much more that could have been said if I had wished to write a "tell-all". But in order to secure my standings with the organization, I decided rather to "carefully edit" my experiences without cutting events that would keep readers from getting a true sense of what I went through...

...And that leaves me some room for another "juicier" rendition that would be "inspired by true events" with my newly unaffiliated standing.
