Well since this a christian group would think everyone believed in God right? I definitely believe that jesus died on the cross for me and you and in order to go to heaven we need to confess our sins and accept the gift of eternal life. Thats basically the base of christianity
Same as Caro... I believe that Jesus Christ is my Saviour, that he died on the cross to save me from my sins and to give me eternal life (once I accept it). So, yeah. I'm a Christian. I don't belong to a denomination, however. I'm non-denominational. I may have differing beliefs on certain doctrines than most of you. But I view all Christians as my brothers and sisters (in Christ). ;)
I think just different traditions. Maybe different ways of baptism, holidays, communions and stuff
yeah, traditions, sacraments, and slightly different doctrines.
I kinda want to meet a real one....just to learn about them. And fyi im not gonna turn into one! Dont worry......ok nvm that was kinda offensive
LOL! I don't think we should even delve into the Jehovah stuff because really, we're supposed to be interested in our God
okay. so back to the original subject. is anyone here "christian" by tradition but doesnt really know what to believe?
a lot of kids at are school are bc their parents are but they're too caught up in their own life to care much about God...:(
With Methodist and Baptist:We are a little more laid back.
You are more of a lighter version of a catholic.
We have the same beliefs but you guys have First Communion,
Not to be rude. Sorry if that hurt you?
lol lena. im non-denom. i think theres too much controversy between the denoms. i mean we r all christs children right?
yeah. all the fighting between catholics and protestants back then? i wonder if they ever read their bibles...
or thy got a message from thy devil that say "fight against thou enemy, thy catholics" and thought it from thy God
I believe that Jesus is God's son and He became a man and died on a cross for my sins and everyone's sins even though we weren't worth it and three days later He was risen from the dead and now He is in heaven next to our Father.
yup on the river of time series. im working on it. someone message anna and tell her to mod oksana plz. we need some work on this group
[Sorry to bring back the conversation of denominations, but I go to a Christian Missionary Alliance Church, which is smilar to Methodist and Baptist. The only thing that separates denominations is a slight change in traditions, holidays and stringent beliefs. I have to agree that some denoms carry out stricter beliefs than others. For example, most of my friends are Catholic and I have one friend who is Russian Orthodox. These are denoms that stick to more traditional methods that have been used in some of the first Christian churches (such as making the sign of the cross, Rosaries and catechism). While denoms like Methodist and Baptist have strayed to more modern and relaxed methods. Here are my ideas on denoms: We are all part of one church- The Church of God. And we are all Christians and will one day join together in Heaven with God. <3 ]Oh! And I 'love' the River of Time Series! I recieved the entire book set from the author (Lisa T. Bergren) herself in a giveaway! :)
oooh nice! u should join our river of time group :) i dont like how denoms have so many divisions and fights bc of super minor things. although cults are a whole diff story! but we r all children under christ so y fight? like the catholic vs protestant thing a couple hundred years ago? that was just bad..
