Hazelwood Academy for Mythological Creatures discussion

This beautiful garden is filled with plants of all kinds.

Skylar pranced through the garden, studying the mass array of colors and the different types of flowers. She loved it here, and started coming here when she was ten. It was kind of like her cool off zone, her calm area.

Wylie sat on a bench, looking at the flowers. She picked a red one and put it up to her nose, pretending to sniff it but really feeding. Soon the flower was withered and colorless

Camilla and Kacen were walking through the garden. Well, Camilla was balancing on the back of a bench while Kacen read a book nearby.

Skylar noticed a girl sitting on a bench with a colorless flower in her hand, she was a vampire, Skylar suspected. This didn't surprise her though, she was used to weird species coming to the academy. Hesitantly, she walked over to the girl and greeted her with a smile. "Hello, I'm Skylar." she said, a smile still plastered to her face. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed two other students on the other side of the garden.

Wylie quickly crumbled up the flower and rubbed the bits on her arm. It may be dead, but it still had it's scent

"It's okay," Skylar paused, studying the girl, "I know what you are, a vampire...right?" she grinned a little at her.

Wylie jumped and looked up at her. "I know, shapeshifter." she said in a suprisingly deep voice

Skylar laughed a bit nervously to herself. "What's your name? Mine's Skylar." she hesitantly looked up into the girl's eyes.

"Camie get down." Kacen said to his sister getting up and holding out a hand to help her down.
"Fine." Camilla sighed accepting her brothers hand. she grabbed the book from him, "Catch me if you can!" she said before shifting into an eagle and flying off with the book.
"Camilla!" Kacen called after her.

Wylie sniffed her hair. She'd only been here a week "Wylie."

"Well, it's nice to meet you Wylie." Skylar responded with a smile, before she turned to go sit back down on the bench.

Camilla dropped the book into the lap of a girl sitting on a bench talking to another girl. Kacen walked up looking a little annoyed, "Sorry about that. my sister thinks she's really funny." he said to the girl.

Skylar laughed a little and looked up at the boy, a slight blush on her cheeks. She handed the book back to him with a smile on her face. "No worries." she said, still blushing.

Wylie raised an eyebrow and picked up the book. She sniffed it and skimmed the pages "Ah. I hated the ending"

Kacen laughed kindly, "I did too, but I love the book."

Skylar stared at Wylie with a weird expression on her face. "You can...smell a book and tell if you've read it or not?" she said as she kept the look on her face.

Wylie shrugged and put the book down. "Part of it"

"Interesting.." she said with a curious expression on her face. She'd never heard of super-sense on that level. Yet again, there were a lot of things that surprised her at the academy.

Wylie sighed. "Yes."

"That's really cool." Kacen said, "I'm Kacen by the way."

"Hey Kacen, I'm Skylar." she looked up at him with a smile. Then she left for her spot on the bench so Wylie and him could talk.

Wylie raised an eyebrow. "You can still sit." she stood up, waving her hand. The part of the bench that Kacen was not sitting on split apart and arranged itself in 5 seats, forming a circle. She gestured to the seat on her left. A black cat with blue eyes jumped into her lap

Skylar, shocked, sat on one of the seats hesitantly.

"How did you do that?" Kacen asked, extremely curious.

Wylie didn't smile. One corner of her mouth twitched down for a second. "I'm a half vampire. Half sorceress"

The cat jumped up and ambles away lazily "It's best I be leaving." Wylie said, standing up and followinf

"Nice meeting you!" Skylar called to her as she watched Wylie walk away.

Wylie didn't turn around. She raised her hand and snapped. The book she had been carrying appeared on her seat

Steve walked up, eating half a sandwich. "Hey guys. What'sup?"

"Hey!" Kacen said in a friendly voice.

Steve sat down next to him with a clean smile. "Anything new?"

"Not really." Kacen shrugged.
"Nothing is ever new with Kay." Camilla said popping out from behind the bench, "He is so boring."

Steve laughed, his wild, unkempt hair bobbing. "Same here. Except there's a rumor that one of the vampires went into a rage and now is in some sort of coma"

"Really?" Kacen asked, "Who was it?"

"I dunno. It was a strange name. Willy... or something like that" Steve said

"Wylie?" Kacen said, suprised, "She was just here."

Steve snapped "That was it. There was apparently some sort of fight last night. Like, three were injured"

Skylar snapped back to focus and noticed Kacen and another boy talking.

Steve waved "Hello"

Skylar smiled at the boy, "Hey, I'm Skylar!" she responded with the smile still on her face.

He smiled and blew a stray curl from his face "Steve"

"Hey Steve. Are you new to the academy?" she asked as she felt her cheeks heat up, why did she have to be blushing right now?

Steve smiled "yes. I am new. Are you? Is it hot here?" he didn't know why her cheeks were flushing. He was not yet used to humans

"No, I've been here since I was ten. I'm a shapeshifter." she smiled up at him and quickly stopped blushing so he wouldn't question her further.

"10? How many years are you in the present?" Steve asked, fixing his hair again. It was so much easier underwater

Jon walks over

Camilla saw Jon and smiled, "Hey."
