Jessie walked into the stables and immediately headed for the stall of her favorite pegasus. He was a fiery red color and his name was Majesty. He was young and spirited with a mischeivious glint in his dark eyes.
Jessie reached over the door and patted his nose. "Hey, boy," she said, "I brought you an apple." Majesty snorted and tossed his head. Pulling open the door, she slipped into the stall and held the promised apple out in her palm. Reaching down, the pegasus plucked it out of her hand and ate it noisily. Then he nudged her cheek as if to say thank you. Jessie laughed softly and stroked her hand down his neck. He shifted into a more comfortable position, rustling his wings, and closed his eyes, content to be rubbed by the girl.
