Madison was skipping around, giggling and picking ripe strawberries then popping them in her mouth. They were the perfect sweetness and juiciness. She plopped down on the ground, the strawberry vines swaying around her.

Suddenly, a huge black shape came lumbering at Madison. She screamed and threw strawberries at him, forgetting everything she was taught.

Lauren dropped everything and ran to the fields. She unsheathed her dagger and grabbed Madison's arm

As Theo ran as fast as he could, the only thing he could see was Lauren and Madison trying to fight back to a giant shadowy shape.

Theo summoned his trident and ran to the monster, when Theo caught a glimpse of the black figure he saw a gigantic body, razor sharp teeth and a scar on it's ear. He knew what it was, a Hellhound, and to be exact he knew who he was. It was that Hellhound that attacked his mother when he was a kid. Theo tripped and landed right in front of the horrible beast.

When he saw the scar on it's ear he remembered his mother grabbing her letter opener from the desk and trying to get it to leave them alone but it dissapeared with his mother in front of his eyes.

Lauren screamed. She slid under the hellhound and stabbed it in the belly then quickly rolled out from under.

Theo regained his footing and threw the trident at the Hellhound's foot.

Lauren stood up and gripped her dagger tightly. The hellhound pounced toward Theo and she yelled. Quickly (not knowing how), she sprang up and landed on the hellhound who promptly started tromping around, barking. She shoved her dagger into the hellhound's head and it froze. Lauren gasped as it dissipated into sand and she fell down off the beast into the pile of sand. "Ow," she muttered.

Theo rushed forward to Lauren. ''Are you okay?'' he asked. ''You saved my life!!''

While Theo thanked her he saw something in the bushes, as he approached a figure jumped up and grabbed Theo and ran to Lauren.

''Leave her alone,'' Theo exclaimed.

''No little demigod,'' it hissed. ''You both must join you're friends!''

It grabbed Lauren and dissappeared...

Although it didn't see Madison hiding behind a tree...
