A spot in the forest that is completely clear with trees around it in a circle. Lots of sunlight

Jullianna leaned against a rock as the sun beaded down on her, she had tried to find shade but the sun's rays were to great that day. Jules continued shaking as her eyes kept closing as she neared complete black out. She felt dizzy and she couldn't see much besides black spots in her vision. Her chest rose and fell quickly and shallowly with small breaths she managed to get out.

Andres walked around the forest and he eventually came to a small clearing. He looked at it and smiled to himself. He stopped when he saw a girl trembling. He ran over to her, "are you okay? You need to get out of the sun," he said quickly as he tried to block her from the sun. He had been here long enough to realize that some people just couldn't handle the sunlight.

Jullianna's head moved slightly from side to side, she kept shaking as her vision continued to blacken. "What's happening." she whispered, she knew she was a siren but she didn't know what she was and wasn't supposed to do. Jules's eyes rolled back and she fell limp to the side of the rock, her skin white and hot with fever.

"You need to go inside or in the water," he replied as she blacked out. "Mother..." he started and scooped her up with ease. Her skin was burning it felt like and she was pale. Was she a vampire? He didn't think so. He carried her into the shade of the trees. Now what?

Jules hung limply in his arms, her head moving ever so slightly as she breathed in and out weakly. Her eyes fluttered open slightly and dizzingly. "W-wheee-re" she whispered/slurred out. Asking where she was, she didn't have enough energy to talk nor did she have enough energy to completely open her eyes. She felt sluggish.

Andres felt her head, she was freaking warm...He gently set her down in the shade since he knew that his skin was naturally warmer than most. He stood over her to create more shade. "You're in the forest," he said softly. "I'm Andres, you were out in the sun. You need to cool off and you probably need water."

Jules shook her head slowly, she remembered when she was at the beach once and blacked out, she was in the hospital for three days. Jullianna took a strangled breath. "J-julli-anna." she whispered as her eyes closed again and she blacked out, this time she stopped breathing completely which wasn't that obvious for the moment. Jules couldn't deny that was she saw of the boy, he was attractive. Very attractive.

"Jullianna," Andres repeated. When she passed out again, he groaned. He scooped her up again and started walking through the forest and inside. Stay calm, stay calm. If you start to panic you WILL change, but the absence of breathing that he noticed did cause him to panic slightly.

Jullian hung limply in his arms as her lips started to turn blue, she suddenly went completely dead weight in his arms as her heart stopped beating from the lack of oxygen. This was worse then the time at the beach, then she had just blacked out and the life guards were there to save her. Now she was with a boy who really wasn't sure what he was doing.

"Oh my G-” he started, but the rest of his words were lost when Andres changed into a wolf. This was just great. He had no training in CPR and noe he was a wolf and there was a girl now dying infront of him. He nosed her up on his back and started howling loudly. He was screwed now. He couldn't run because her heart had stopped. He put his paw on her chest, where her heart would be and pushed, he had seen it happen once. He howled loudly again.

Chase was wondering the forest when he frowned, feeling the aura of death he started wandering the way before his eyes widened. Chase ran forward and pressed his ear to Jules's chest, hearing nothing he put his hands and started pumping at her chest with CPR--he blew air into her lungs before resuming the compressions. Chase looked at Andre. "Deep breaths and tell me what happened." he said firmly, since his parents were cardiologists he knew how the heart worked. Chase continued CPR

Andres in turn just whined loudly. He took a few more deep breaths when he saw that she might be okay. He eventually got control of himself and shifted back. "I don't know! I was walking when I came across her, shivering and almost hyperventilating. I've been here long enough to know something was up. It aw probably the sun exposure," he said quickly, "is she going to be okay?"

Chase paused his compressions and pushed her life force more towards the life side of the border before continuing compressions long enough to stop and feel for her pulse. Chase let out a breath of relief "She's back." he said slowly before making sure that she was breathing. "Okay, here's what you've gotta do okay? Get her to the infirmary, that's probably the best bet. Tell them the right chamber of her heart keeps going off beat." he said slowly, thoughtfully. "Can you get her there? I would take her but I think you can run faster...."

"She's back?" Andres asked and realized he had been holding his breath. He nodded quickly, "right chamber off beat," he repeated quickly. "Of course! I was trying to earlier but..." he trailed off. He had paniced and turned into a wolf. He scooped her up with ease again and turned to Chase, "thank you so much." and with that he took off.

Joyce walked through the forest with a bounce to her step. The skirt she was wearing was basically all tule and flounced and moved with every step she took and the tight fitting, coreset like white and pink floral tank top made her look more like fey than an elemental. Stepping into the clearing she smiled at a patch of daisies and bent down to pick one up. She was oblivious to both Chase and the near death occurence that had just occured here only moments ago.

Chase let out a small breath and ran a hand through his hair, relieved that he had been able to save the young girl. Chase turned over and saw Joyce, surprised that her levels of life was so high--it made him smile slightly. Chase walked over and bent down to pick up a small shiny object before holding it out to her. "Excuse me, is this yours?" He asked gently, it was a necklace piece that had fallen off.

Joyce smiled and then nodded, "Oh thanks." she said and luaghed before taking it from him and holding it in her left hand. She watched him for a moment and then she laughed and shook her head, "Nope. I don't know what you are. You're what?" she asked curiously, she had been watching him to see if she could guess but she hadn't been able to and so she was asking him instead.

Chase smiled slightly, more of a crooked grin, and shook his head. "I'm a border." He said simply, not going into detail of what it was because really most people had never heard of it. "What is a girl like you doing out here in the forest alone? I mean I might be wrong but isn't that a tad bit dangerous?"

"So you've died, or almost died." Joyce said and then shook her head, before puffing up slightly and holding her arms up like she was a superhero, "I can take care of myself thank you." she said simply and then smiled at him. "What are you doing out here? Last I heard borders couldn't really strike beings down with a blink of their eye."

Chase chuckled "I'm one of the few that have actually died." he muttered before shaking his head and looked at her with a smile. "No but I was in boxing so I think I can handle myself out here, not like a pretty girl like you who might get hurt." he said, teasing her gently.

Joyce shook her head and stuck out her tongue, "Nu-uh. I could beat you with a bat of my eyes." she said challenging him and smiling sweetly. Looking at her you would think that a butterfly would be able to knock her down. She just smiled innocently at him, her chocolate brown eyes watching him harmlessly.

Chase chuckled and shook his head "No thank you, my parents managed to teach me not to take on a girl." He smirked and winked at her. "because I'm sure you could take me down." Chase smiled at her and ran a hand through his hair, he was loving how much life she had. It really was refreshing.

Joyce pouted a bit and then shrugged and smiled and she batted her eyes at him for a moment and within that moment he was suddenly floating about 5 inches off the ground. "Yeah, you're right not to fight me. After all you're pretty defenseless." she said and smiled before giggling and setting him back on the ground gently and easily. She was pretty okay at using her powers now but she still messed up every now and then.

Chase chuckled and smiled at her. "Alright, that had to be one of the coolest things I've seen." he said with a small smile before shaking his head and holding his hand out to her. "Can I help you back to your cabin? Perhaps somewhere else? Or are you okay here?" Chase asked curiously with a risen eyebrow.

Joyce smiled, "Actually I'm quite alright here. I like to come here and sit with the flowers and just relax." she said simply and then raised a brow. Her voice was teasing as she spoke and she pushed his shoulder lightly, hardly enough to hurt him, "Or are you flirting with me, Mister Border?" she asked him and smiled thinking the idea to be quite a ludicrious one.

Chase chuckled and shook his head "Where as you are a very lovely lady, I don't like to flirt with girls without their permission." He said with a smile, not completely serious about that. Chase held his hand out to her "Chasen. But you can call me Chase--everyone does." Chase watched her carefully.

Joyce smiled and took his hand. Shaking it once she dropped her hand to her side once more and introduced herself. "Joyce Gautier, but people call me Joy." she said simply and then shrugged. All of a sudden her watch went off and she looked down at the little timer. Frowning she hit the button and turned it off, "Sorry about that." she apologized sweetly.

Chase smiled slightly "Joy, somehow I know that really really fits." he chuckled and shook his head. "What's the timer for?" he asked curiously while thinking about how adorable she was, he really hadn't seen a girl like this before--although everyone at this camp was unique.

Joyce shook her head, "I used it last year to tell me when I had to go find Riley and but him about being my friend but this year it's been acting up all the time." she laughed and shook her head, "it's kind of silly really. I should just throw it out." She said and shrugged.

Chase rose an eyebrow "Now my next question is this, why would you have to go find him?" Chase asked curiously with a small smile. Chase shook his head "Sorry about all the questions, I'm just a curious person really." Chase shrugged

"He's antisocial and it's my job to be his friend." she said simply and raised a brow at him, before laughing and shrugging. "I tend to stick around misfits and anitsocial people. So Chasen, why are you out here in the clearing anyway?" she asked deciding to ask him a question.

Chase shrugged "I tend to stay away from everyone, I really don't like being around crowds." Chase looked at her with his hazel eyes and shook his head "So I guess I fit in your catagory." he said with a small laugh. "Honestly the only reason I started to talk to you is because you have so much...life...and naturally I was drawn towards you."

Joyce tilted her head to the side, confusion obviously displayed on her face. "Doesn't everyone have alot of 'life'?" she asked and then laughed again, "I mean I'm already 17 you would think that children or younger campers would have more life than I do." she said and shrugged. She just didn't understand that not everyone was as optimistic as her.

Chase shook his head "No, people have different amount of life in them." Chase smiled at her. "You have like off the charts amount of energy!" Chase laughed in joy "It's refreshing and it's well, it's great!"

Joyce smiled, "Oh. Maybe I should hang out with borders all the time then." she said and laughed again before shrugging at him. "So then my energy levels are odd?" she asked and shook her head, "I heard that there was a girl here who could talk to cows or was it pigs....well anyway she was said to be like me. Sweet as sugar and happy. You should go meet her!" she proposed the idea.

Chase laughed and shook his head "I know who you are talking about, Halie or whatever right?" Chase smiled at her. "Her life is actually super low because I hear she's diabetic." Chase shrugged and looked back at her. "Not odd, just high. I like it though."

Joyce smiled at him and shrugged, "Guess I'm special like that." she teased and then sat down in the flowers and pulled off her silver flats. Putting her legs straight out in front of her she laid out on the ground and her hair spread out around her in a halo of honey blond curls.

Chase rose an eyebrow and took a step over her so his feet were on the two sides of her waist and he was looking down at her. "And may I ask why you are now laying on the ground like that?" he asked with a small chuckle, curiousness in his voice.

Joyce smiled up at him, "I like to feel the grass and feel grounded. Most of the time I feel like I'm about to float away from the earth and I love the feeling of the flowers and the grass and the sun warmed dirt beneath me." she said simply, "Why are you curious about why I'm laying down?"

Chase chuckled and shook his head "Most girls would be concerned about the fact grass and dirt was getting in her hair....leaves...." Chase shook his head again and ran a hand through his hair. "Sorry, I'm really usually not this talkitive. I dont know what's gotten into me."

Joyce shook her head, "it's fine. I'm used to talking alot and it's nice to have someone talk back. Most of the time I carry one sided conversations or I don't talk at all." the latter part was her referring to her foster parents where they hated it when she talked. "Some girls are so girly." she said and then a gust of wind pushed Chase's back lightly, "C'mon lie down with me. We can have a twilight moment." she teased as if that was tempting.

Chase chuckled and fell back into the grass, thankfully it was near sunset--more of a twilight so the sun wasn't hurting Chase like it usually did. Chase laid next to her and looked over. "Well I'm sorry, usually I don't talk." He shrugged. "My parents got a little strict so I shut down completely."

"Strict? Oh. Like after you died?" she asked and shrugged, "I think Anita would have cared but my parents didn't and neither do my foster parents." she shrugged and smiled at him showing that it obviously wasn't something that bothered her. "So how did you die? If you don't mind my asking." she was always polite and it sounded even better with her southern accent.

Chase sighed "it was stupid really, I went out while drunk on my dad's motercycle with my best friend Josh. We wrecked by hitting a car. I was dead for twelve minutes before they brought me back....Josh died." Chase crowned and shook his head before lifting his shirt up and sitting up so she could see the pad burn scars on his chest from where the paramedic saved him.

Joyce sat up slightly to look at the scars and then laid back down and looked up at the sky. She smiled softly, "He's lucky then. Living is harder than dying. After all with death you get eternal peace and with living you screw up and spend your life living with those screw ups." she said simply, not an ounce of sorrow to her words. It was like she was happy about being able to die one day.

Chase frowned and looked at her before shaking his head. "Wow, you really are optimistic about everything aren't you?" He asked before pulling his shirt back down. Chase laid back and took a deep breath "I agree with you though, but I see this as my second chance at life....to help others." Chase shrugged

Joyce smiled and blushed slightly, "I don't mean to be. I can stop if it bothers you." she offered embarassed about her positive nature. Her foster parents were constantly making fun of her for it and she knew that it bothered people sometimes and while she did bother people for the better she hated to just be annoying.

Chase shook his head before blushing slightly "This is going to be a really odd request....but can I touch your arm maybe? I just....I want to see something." he admitted before running a hand through his hair in embarrassment.

Joyce raised a brow, "Well since you asked it did make things sort of awkward." she teased and then smiled at him to show she was just teasing him and nodded. "Go for it." she lifted up her hand on her elbow and held it out for him, meaning for him to take her hand since grasping her arm would probably be odd.
