Via walked through town, glaring at the South Street girls who looked at her wrong, and smiling flirtasiously at the handsome boys.
((I decided that even District 1 needed a seem, so that's what South Street is.))

Ryder went through town with a bag slung over his shoulder, humming to himself, and people watching.
Via watches a boy out of the corner of her eye. He was alright looking, if you liked the rebel sort. But there was something about him that interested her. The way he carried himself, maybe.
((You know what's weird Sam? You have a character named Ash, and a character named Ryder, and I have two twin cousins whose names are Ashton and Ryder. Weird.))

((Dude! That's strange!))
Ryder stopped to think for a minute, refocusing his mind and turned around to go get a snack. He went into A small shop run by a family and got a small bag of candies. He walked back out onto the street and sat against a wall, popping one into his mouth.

Via decided to get the guys attention so she went to the store across the street from him and started trying on verious hats, pretending to use the front window as a mirror.
Ryder laughed out loud at the girl messing with the hats across the street. He got up and went over to her and put on a big hat. Then he tapped on her shoulder asking "How do I look?"
"Well, this one matches your eyes." Via said, taking the hat off his head and switching it with another one.
"Yeah it does." He says, checking it out in the mirror. He pulled out a beanie and stuck it on her head. "Now that one is perfect for you!" he said, laughing.
She batted her eyelashes flirtasously. "Why thank you."
Ryder laughed. "Would you like the hat? I'll get it for you, if you like."
"Oh no please. You're too kind." Via said, twirling a lock of hair on her finger.
Ryder cocked his head, "Okay." He smiled at her lightly and flipped the hat off his head and into his arms, soon placing it back where he found it. Then he stuck out his hand, "Ryder's the name. What's yours?"
"Via Renaldi," she said, shaking his hand delicately ((is that even possible?)). "My father's the mayor."
((Haha sure?))
"Oh." He said, a bit surprised and intimidated. He knew she could get him in a lot of trouble, but he liked her, so he shrugged inwardly and continued. "My father isn't the mayor."

Via smirked. "Really? I had no idea. If you don't mind my asking, who is he then?"
"I don't know. I never talk to him. All I can tell you is he's Michael Way..." Ryder answered.
Via imagines never talking to her dad. Awful! "That must stink." She says.
"Not really." Ryder shrugged. "I don't like him much and he's worse since my moms been gone. We just leave each other alone. It suits us both. I can fend for myself just fine."
Via tries to wipe her face of emotion. She couldn't even picture her dad treating her badly.
"Fend for yourself huh?" she looks him over. "Yeah, you probably can."

He nods. Ryder could tell she was surprised. Rich girls were usually naive. He smiled. She would be surprised.
((Rich girls are usually naive. The one stereotype that seems to be pretty true.))
"Do you want to grab a bite to eat?" Via asked, giving him her most dazzling smile.

((Haha agreed. Try going to a school full of them and not being one. Shoot me now!))
Blinking, Ryder nodded. He followed her, hoping she would pay, he wasn't sure how much money was in his pockets.

"It's on me," she said as they headed into a fancy resteraunt. "This is my favorite place to be." she said breathing in the sent of delicious food. Then she noticed a group of girls and ducked her head.
Ryder nodded. "Thanks" He inhales, "Sure does smell good."
But Via wasn't paying attention as the group of girls walked over. "Look who it is guys," one said. "Nerdy rich girl."
"Buzz of Adrian." Via mumbled.
"Buzz of Adrian." Via mumbled.
Ryder looked at the new girl. "Who are you?" he asks with distain.
"Adrian Summers," she said, looking him up and down. "Me and Via go way back, don't we?" she said, punching her in the arm.
Via stayed silent.
"See, Via here owes me some money, and she just won't hand it over." Adrien said.
"I don't owe you anything." Via mumbled.
Via stayed silent.

Ryder frowns. "Via owes you? " he snorts "Yeah right."
"Please, this chick owes me everything." Adrien said, casualy looping her arm around Via's shoulders. "I'm the one who keeps her secrets hush, hush."
Via turned white.
Via turned white.
Ryder raises his eyebrows, "Secrets?"
((Gonna be gone for a few days, I think. So If I don't comment, sorry.))
((K.))
"Yeah, and she's got tons. So if you don't pay up Vi, everyone in town's gonna know why your mom left your darling daddy." Adrien said, smirking.
Via felt faint. "Please don't tell anyone." she whispered.

Ryder looked back and forth between the girls. "So I don't know what happened, but how did she find out?"
"Ex-friend." Via mumbles.
Adrien stands about six feet tall, with snarly black hair, tan skin, ripped arms, and a constant scowl. The girl was built like a brick wall.Via still couldn't believe how much Adrien had changed sense they were little.

Ryder was a bit intimidated by the large girl. She wasn't very nice to look at. He shook his head, telling himself not to be too freaked out by her. He muttered mostly to himself, "Manipulator" and "Blackmail," followed by "Bitch."
Via smiled slightly when she heard Ryder use a choice swearword to discribe Adrien.
"What's so funny, Vi? Thinking about how I'll beat you to a pulp when you don't give me my money?" Her smile disapeared.

Ryder rolled his eyes. He wanted to help Via, she was nice, unlike this monster, but he wasn't exactly sure how.
"If I pay you, will you leave me alone?" Via asked.
"Until next week." Adrien said.
Via forked over twenty bucks and Adrien and her groupies left.
Sorry you had to see that." Via mumbled.

"It's okay." He told her. "Thing happen, I get it. I don't think you should listen to her though."
"What do you want me to do? Beat her up with these?" Via said, making an attempt at humor and flexing obsalete muscles in her arms.
"Sure." he said, smiling. "I would offer to beat her up for you, but I'm not much stronger than you and she is a freaking bear."
"Too true." Via said, back in her usually cheerful mood, now that she knew her secrets were safe and Ryder would stay her friend.
He laughed lightly and sat down at a table, hungry. "Whatchya gonna get?" He asked cheerfully.
"Whatever you want, but honestly, I'm dying for a bowl of chicken soup." Via said, sliding into her seat and flawlessly flippin her hair over her shoulder.
Ryder couldn't help but notice how nice looking she was. He sighed to himself, but then said, "I'll have that too."
Via orders their food. "So," she says. "I've never seen you in school. What do you do all day?"
"I'm not sure I can tell you that..." He says, a bit nervously. "Your dad is the mayor..."
Via cocked an eyebrow. "Try me."
His eyebrows raised, but he was a risk taker and had nothing to loose, so he said, "Well, I hunt outside the fence a lot, but I also do jobs for townspeople and trade with the black market merchants. And to be quite honest, I steal to trade, a lot. That's easier during the day, and I'm old enough that it's not suspicious for me not be in school."
