Me, Myself, and I This is the view of the pond from the dock.

description

message 2: by Ben (new)

Ben (benmushroomoverlord) Seth sat on the dock, and made a fireball, this one a lot bigger than the one he made on the boardwalk. He shaped it into the fiery equivalent of a paper airplane. He tossed it, and it flew about 8 feet before nose diving into the pond.

Abigail "Nice" Scarlet said walking up behind him

Abigail "you dont talk much do you" scarlet said about 10 seconds away from leaving

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas walked around, looking at the water. He sat down criss-cross applesauce. He picked up a handful of dirt and watched it conform around in his hand, squishing around. He watched it meld between his fingers with a smile

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine walked through the tall grass, her long bright red hair brushing back behind her shoulders as she moved. Her gray-green eyes flicked to the pond, watching the small waves ripple through the water. The dried grass shifted from under the trail of her dress, and she crossed her arms over her chest against the breeze that came with being near the water.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas looked up at the sound of rustling grass and muffled footsteps. He saw a girl in a dress, her long red hair waving. He raised an eyebrow, wondering if she had seen him. He decided not to greet her, looking back at the water with a small smile, watching the small rippley waves move across the surface of the water.

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine glanced over the grass from behind her mask to see a boy sitting before the water. Is he. . . Meditating or something? At the thought, she couldn't help but smirk slightly, the corners of her lips turning upward. She slipped off her heels and nudged them away with her now bare feet, toes curling in the grass. Small sparks crackled above her fingertips but, for Seraphine, it was pretty subtle.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas wondered what the noise was. It was pretty quiet, so the crackly popping noises seemed louder than they actually were. He stood up and turned around, not bothering to brush the dirt off. He saw sparks forming on the girls fingertips. "You're a fire" he murmured, his eyes locked on her flaming fingertips.

Me, Myself, and I The crackling sparked to life, becoming small flames licking through the air and dancing over her skin. Seraphine turned her head, fire engine red hair slipping over one shoulder. She rose a dark eyebrow, eye color bright against her mask's material. "Very observant, Earth Boy." The worlds were drawled with a slight Australian accent as the wind lifted a few strands of her hair back over her face. Brushing it away, her trademark smirk turned up her lips.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas crossed his arms, his eyes flicking to her face. "What's your name?" he asked, dropping his handful of dirt with a sigh. "I'm Lucas" he said, studying her slightly, but still aware of the firey hand. He was actually keeping one eye on her hand a he looked at her. Her hair looked slightly fake, but he didn't really know what to think. He wasn't exctly a hair expert, and his orangeish hair said that. He hardly ever brushed it

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine slowly turned around, flames still dancing over her hand. "'What's in a name?'" Her misty green eyes followed the vegetation he left fall from his hand before glancing back up at him. "Original." She noticed him watching the fire, seeming weary of it. With a little snap of her fingers, the flames went out. And people say I don't have mercy. Sera noticed his gaze drift over to her hair and she rolled her eyes. "Don't judge me- it was a phase." A rebellious one. One she was still going through, in fact.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas was puzzled by her response. He relaxed slightly when the fire was put out, looking away from her hair. "I'm afraid I don't understand your question. A name consists of letters... And I'm not judging you." he looked once again to her startlingly red hair. "I just find it a bit... strong" he wondered what kind of phase would make you want to dye your hair a color such as hers

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine gave a startled laugh, the act completely morphing her face. She looked lighter somehow, a lot less confrontational. Until it faded and her expression took on its normal mocking smirk. "Earth Boy, have you never heard of Shakespeare?" At his subtle insult, she gathered her red hair up into a high ponytail and tied it back away from her face. Her normal response would have been something along the lines of, You think I give a damn? but she was more subdued tonight. "And that's what made me choose it." It'd actually required two boxes of dye to get the color just right- she'd done a shitty job the first time, completely botching it.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas rolled his eyes. It was meant more of an annoyed action than an intimidating one, but it seemed to say 'don't mess with me' in a rather threatening way. He considered quoting Shakesphere, but he wouldn't give her the satisfaction. He had read all of his works. "What the devil does Shakesphere have to do with blood-red hair? It looks quite ridiculous, you know."

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine rose an eyebrow at his eye roll, but otherwise didn't seem too impressed. "'What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.'" She recited easily, her eyes sparkling as her tone took on a challenging note. "Romeo and Juliet." She smirked at him. "And it has nothing to do with hair, but it does involve names. Which, if I do recall correctly, you asked me for." She picked up a long lock of said hair and looked at it. "It's what you would expect from a Fire Elemental though, right?"

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas sighed. She was exasperating, not to mention annoying and confusing. "Yes, I asked you for a name. Not a quote, which is what you gave me" he said, wishing he knew her name. "And I don't really expect anything from any element, including fire. You're definitely the first elemental out of all of them to have such a... bold hair color of that shade." It was true. He had seen many colors, but hers was strangely different. Darker, as if she'd done it twice or something.

Me, Myself, and I (Lols, she's annoying him ? MISSION COMPLETE xD)

Seraphine smirked at his sigh, looking more than a little smug. "My name isn't important." She crossed her arms over her chest, surprise flickering in her eyes, before she covered it up with her normal devil-may-care persona. It had been awhile since she'd met someone who hadn't already made up all these assumptions about her division. "Good. At least that way, none of the Elementals can really come as a surprise to you." She wished she had been like him all along: Not assuming that every division besides Fire was nice. Would've saved a lot of time and heartache. "Sorry you're not a fan of the color." She flipped her hair up into a messy bun, some strands cascading around her face, since they weren't long enough to reach her hair tie.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) ((lol))

Lucas shrugged, his eyes sparking challenge. He noticed her surprise, making a mental note of her apparent sensitivity towards judgmental things. "Since when is a name unimportant?" he asked her. He vaguely wondered why she kept changing her hairstyle

message 20: by Me, Myself, and I (last edited Jul 22, 2012 08:34PM) (new)

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine gray green eyes watched him from behind the gray and black mask. Her arms were still crossed over her chest, bare shoulders flashing. "Since when is it?" She rose an eyebrow in challenge again, daring him to come up with a reasonable argument. Of course, she still wouldn't tell him. But. It would still be interesting to hear.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas returned her gaze, then turned back over the pond. "since you were given it. Names have always been important." he said, adjusting his multi-colored diamond shaped mask. A slight breeze came up, making the little waves slightly grow in size. "what do people call you if you don't have a name, or if you are embarrassed by it?"

Me, Myself, and I "Yeah, but it could be one that describes everything you're not." The nickname Sera was 'princess.' Which was the polar opposite of someone like her. Her gaze flicked over to watch the pond like he was doing and fire burst above the surface, dancing and writhing over its surface. Fire bitch? Bitch, in general? The thought along made her smirk. The title was one she'd gained willingly. She briefly wondered what his retort would be to that little gem, but dismissed the thought. Rolling her eyes, she focused her attention back on the flames. "If you're really so damn curious, it's Seraphine."

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas looked back at her when he saw the fire, frowning. He grinned when he told her her name. Finally. It took long enough "There. Was that too hard?" he asked with sarcasm. He was glad his stubborness had come in handy for once. Usually he only got in trouble for it

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine rose an eyebrow at his sarcasm. The fire took on the distinct outline of a huge dog stalking over the water and the flames flickered blood red and black colors. The act caused it took look the picture of a Hellhound. "Excruciatingly so, actually." She smirked before looking back at the pond, sending the flames scattering outward before they went out.

message 25: by Beck (formerly Boo) (last edited Jul 23, 2012 05:27PM) (new)

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas grinned. The hellhound was interesting. "I can make one too. In dirt form, of course" he said, waving his hand. A hellhound of grass and mud conformed, seeming a bit nicer than Seraphine's. As in, it didn't look like it was about to set you alight and burn you alive, turning your soul to ashes

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine watched his hellhound prance over the grass for a second, lips curved into a slight smile. Flicking her wrist, flames lit upward from the ground and took on the same shape of the huge dog. As it strode through the vegetation, burn marks were left behind in the shape of paw prints. "Why aren't you at the ball, anyways?"

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas crossed his arms, turning to look at her. His dog froze and hardened, becoming a permanant statue. "I could ask the same of you." he said, suddenly wondering why he was out here. He could be inside the grand ballroom, dancing. But he was out here, dirt all over his hands, under his fingernails. Then he wondered why Seraphine wasn't at the ball.

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine watched the dog as it hardened into something like earthy stone. Her hellhound continued stalking through the grass, flames burning the vegetation. "Do I really look like the type whose scene is the ballroom?" She said the word as if it were vile, rolling her green eyes. Never mind the fact that she was wearing a dress and a mask. Snapping her fingers, the dog dissipated into small sparks, the only sign of it being there being the burnt grass.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas shrugged "Yes? If you're not at a red hair dye factory, I think you'd fit in a ballroom quite well" he said. He really didn't know what made you ballroom material, and he didn't really want to know.

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine rose an eyebrow, gaze flashing to his face before looking out into the water. "I have no idea whether to take that as an insult or a compliment." She crossed her arms over her chest again, mentally making a face. How was it one simply statement could make her feel as dense as she did at that moment? "But either way, you never answered my question." She paused. "Despite the fact that I answered yours."

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas grinned. "There's no dirt in the ballroom" he said, rather simply. He reached down and picked up a handful of mud, conforming it to his will, making it twist and twirl into various shapes, on his commmand

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine snorted, rolling her green eyes under her mask. "Of course." Her tone was playfully sarcastic and without thinking, she kicked dirt at him. Flames ignited from her fingertips, looking somewhat like homemade sparklers in the dying sunlight. She'd always thought the whole 'Masquerade' thing was stupid- the last place you'd ever find her at would be the ballroom. She'd take a bullet to the forehead before going.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas looked down at his muddy pants and sighed. He then looked down and all the mud gathered in his hand. He looked around, ignoring her sparkler fingertips and looking at the bank, here the mud and dirt mixed with the water. "I might go there later" he decided out loud, not particularly talking to her.

Me, Myself, and I Smirking at his sigh, Seraphine looked back out into the water. Flames increasing in height from her hands, she watched the small waves crash into the grass at the bank. She made a face at his statement but didn't turn around. " Hats off to you, than." The thought of her mom being there crosse her mind and she instantly stiffened. Oh, hell to the no.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas watched the mud for a moment longer, then looked up, deciding that now was not the best time to play in it. He usually only did that when he was alone. Playing in the mud was for children. He first noticed a stricken expression on Seraphine. That was definitely new. "Are you... Okay?" he asked, wondering if she was having a seizure. He studied her for a moment and decided no. He had seen plenty of seizures before, and this wasn't one. He wondered why she looked so.... Like that. He cast a glance over his shoulder. Nothing.

Me, Myself, and I (Lols, "wondering if she was having a seizure")

Seraphine shrugged it off before turning back around to face him, rolling her eyes. "Just peachy." Simply the thought of her mom could put her in a bad mood. Well. . . . One worse then he was constantly in already. She looked down at his pants, taking in the sight of the mud with a snicker. "Your pants? Not so much." Her red hair started to slip down from the hair tie keeping it back, taking on even more of a messy look. Charming.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) ((lolol. I guess that is a bit strange))
Lucas looked at his pants, disbelieving of her peachiness. "Oh yeah. My pants." he mumbled, waving his hands over them. The mud traveled up to his hand and he dropped it. He was suddenly clean, non-muddy. "That better?" he asked her with a smirk.

Me, Myself, and I (Lols, just a little bit xD)

Seraphine rose an eyebrow at the handy trick, smirk playing at her lips again."Like a built in dry-cleaner." The flames at her hand disappeared suddenly, and she slipped the tie out from her hair. "Yeah, actually." Her tone implied the additional smartass at the end, though not in a necessarily mean way. Her hair fell back down around her shoulders, strong color, as he'd worded it, in slightly wavy locks, thanks to the bun.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas looked at her change her hairstyle again. "Why do you keep doing that? Changing hairstyles, I mean." It was like her hair couldn't keep still. Was it possible to have a hairstyle-changing ADHD? That would be both strange and cool. Very weird, though. Now it was wavy. He wondered how that happened

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine snorted. "Damn, aren't you observant? It's kind of a bad habit of mine." She never really realized hen she did, not conscious of the act. Rolling her eyes again, she pulled it all back in a sleek, high ponytail, hoping this time it would stay in place. The wind drifted through it, scattering the deep fire-colored locks across her back. "The hair tie was slipping anyways." She glanced down at the grass and sat down, black dress pooling out around her, a puddle of clothing material.

message 41: by Beck (formerly Boo) (last edited Jul 27, 2012 04:30PM) (new)

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas raised an eyebrow. What did she expect? Half of the time in was in a ponytail or waving around ar in a bun or messily flying everywhere... He shook his head and wondered why she sat down. "Aren't you afraid of getting muddy?" he asked. She was a fire, and a girl. He wasn't sure where the dirt fit in

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine shrugged, the action practically saying It's out of my hands. "I never said it made any sense. It's just a habit." She grabbed a handful of grass and ripped it from the ground. Tossing it up like confetti, she watched as it slowly drifted back down to the ground. She wrinkled her nose at his question. "You know, mud doesn't kill Elementals who aren't Earth. Or so I've heard."

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas shrugged. "Well, thats great." He was tempted to cover her in mud but she wouild probablhy not take kindly to that. Not that she took kindly to anything else. He had learned that much. He suddenly felt weird being the only one standing up and sat down, cross legged.

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine laughed. His awkwardness was interesting, to say the least. "That it is." She glance up from the grass in time to see him sit down. She rose an eyebrow at the cross-legged pose he took, snickering under her breath. "You kinda look like an ex monk, sitting like that." She adjusted her mask as she spoke, the black and gray material slightly scratchy due to its sparkles.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas raised an eyebrow. "That's brilliant" he said, opting not to change his position. "who's to say you're not sitting the same way, under that pool of fabric and glitter?" he asked, talking about her dress, which was hiding her legs.

Me, Myself, and I "Simply making an observation, is all." Seraphine wrapped her fingers through more grass and tugged it from the ground before tossing it aside. Raising an eyebrow right back, she crossed her arms over her chest. "'Glitter?' I beg to differ, Lucas." Her dress didn't have any damn glitter on it- that was blasphemy. "And my legs are actually folded underneath me. That is, after all, the ladylike way of sitting." Her tone was slightly bitter at the last statement, while the first was mocking, sounding like a teacher explaining something to a student.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas rolled his eyes. "Alright, sparkles then." he wondered why she bothered telling him about her seating. "Why would I care about how ladies sit? If I'm as observant as you make me sound, I already know that." if he were a girl he would have added an 'Oh, and really you're more of a b**** than a lady', but he was too much of a gentleman. Good thing too, otherwise he was sure he'd get at least a slap in the face.

message 48: by Me, Myself, and I (last edited Jul 27, 2012 07:29PM) (new)

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine made a face at his choice of words, still not satisfied. Her dress wasn'y sparkly- was it? Damn, better burn this one. "Because you said-" Rolling her eyes, she shook her head. "Never mind. Apparently, someone's bipolar as hell." Seraphine stood up, brushing the grass off her dress. It was obvious he was refraining from saying something and judging by the tone in his voice, she'd take a bet that it was an insult. "I may be an," She paused. "-Insert your choice of cuss word here,- but at least I'm consistent about it." Turning away from him, she moved through the grass to grab her shoes, red hair swinging in its high ponytail. She was a little hurt, which only pissed her off further. "I hope you enjoy the rest of the Masquerade Celebration." The words were stiff as she slipped on her shoes, intending to go find conversation elsewhere.

Beck (formerly Boo) (boooty) Lucas wondered what he'd done. Oh well, she was one hundred percent NOT his first choice of person to have a conversation with either. He wondered why she had chosen bipolar. There were a whole lot of thungs he allegedly was, but bipolar was new. He did a secret inner fist pump. Girls like this seemed pretty hard to successfully, what's the word? He shook his head, standing up and possessing off all the extra dirt. "I will. Have a good time yourself" he walked off, hoping she wouldn't follow

Me, Myself, and I Seraphine had to resist the strong urge to flick him off, green eyes focused instead on slipping her shoes on successfully. Guys like him pissed her off: The ones who acted like they were ever to sweet on the outside, but really just like the rest of them. It was honest to God cowardly. If you're a bastard, at least own up to it. She turned and, without another word, started back toward the boardwalk. Why the hell did I even give this guy my name?
