Jake helped the goats find their way to the river. He worked for his father's best friend Jack. He was also his godfather. "Heyoh! Over here little goats!" Jake said. He was riding on his horse. Finnaley all the goats were at the stream. Jake sat down under a tree.
Kalie sat down next to him and put her hand on his.
Jake pulled it away. "What do you want Kal?" He asked.
"I know you love me. You know it too." Kalie said.
"No I don't, Kal. I love Alex." Jake said. He was staring off at the flowing stream.
"No you don't. I can tell in your eyes." Kalie said. She scooted closer to him.
Jake got up. "I'm sorry Kalie. I don't love you. I love Alex. If I did love you I would tell you right now that I did. But I don't. I love Alex. Alex is the perfect girl for me where you and I are opisit from each other. You were ment to be rich and famose while I should be living with Alex in a small cotage at the side of town with acouple of horses and dogs." Jake told her.
Kalie's lip trembled. She got up and hugged Jake. "No Jake! Don't leave me! We are ment to be together and you know that!" Kalie said.
Jake pulled away and left. "No Kalie! We weren't!" Jake called over his shoulder.
Kalie spun on her heel and left.

Laurel led her goats along the stream, watching happily as the once sick one ate and drank.
Lily lead her horse along with some goats over the pond. "There, there." Lily said soothingly to one of the goats that had hurt it's leg from a wolf. "It's alright... just drink the water, you'll feel better soon." Lily whispered.
"Thankyou so much, Lillian dear." Said Clara, a lady that had lived near the lowlands. "For what, Miss Vontah?" Lily asked, standing up from her kneeling posistion. "For taking care of my goats." She said. "It's no problem at all, Miss Vontah." Lily said. "I simply love your goats, they are all so sweet." Lily added, motioning one hand to the goats. Clara, or Miss Vontah, smiled at the ingured goat. Lily bit her bottom lip. "I'm so sorry about the wolf, Miss Vontah." Lily said. Miss Vontah chuckled. "I don't blame you from riding off on your horse, Lillian. I would've done the same. I'm just happy that you told my husband." Miss Vontah said. Lily sighed and nodded. "Thankyou." Lily said. Miss Vontah smiled and walked back to her carige.
She'd always visit Lily to check on how everything was going with the goats.
Lily stared at her shadow, she could tell time that way. "Twinkle..." Lily called to her horse. Twinkle galloped over to Lily. Lily hopped on her back. She whisled loud and clear. The goats ran over to her. "Follow me!" Lily said, kicking Twinkle's side to get her running. The goats followed her to a small shed near the feild.

"Good night." Lily whispered to the goats. She closed the shed and road back to the river. She sat down and collected wheat that was growing by so she could make bread.
