Greetings earthlings!
As some of you may know (or may not know...) I entered some artwork into the county fair. I just wanted to share with at least someone how well or not so well I did.
You may choose to see how well I did or not
I just needed to tell someone

(by the ways.... it may be awhile for the actual work to show up on here.)

Here's what the ribbons mean:

Purple- 1st place
Blue- 2nd place
Red- 3rd place
White- Participant

ARTS & CRAFTS (and yes, the happy faces were actually on the notes)

And gets to go to state XD (Only about 7 people got that)

Judge's notes:
-Love this idea!
-I can tell this took a lot of time and patience
-Nice design and use of colors to create shadows

Purple
and got Honorable Mention (only about 5 people got that)

Judge's notes:
-Great use of positive and negative
-Like the use of photography and collage to create a mixed media
-a few rough edges on the cutting

Judge's notes:
-great proportion
-ink is not always easy to show shading. You did a nice job with the shadows under the easement and balcony.
-Rule of thirds is used nicely
-Greek letters personalize it well :)

Judge's notes:
-Great detail!
-I like the use of sharpie and colored pencil.
-very vibrant picture :)

Blue

Judge's notes:
-nice rule of thirds placement
-some of the shadows are a little off but overall a nice colored pencil
-I like how the background is lighter and more muted

Well... that's that. I also entered some photos but the Judges weren't as nice to me.....
But if you want me to show those too I can.
