I'm Sandee. I absolutely love YA books despite me being 23 and having a three year old daughter.
Books I am obsessing over right now is Obsidian and Sweet Evil but I have tons of favorite books. If you want to check it out drop by my favorite shelves. Nice meeting you guys!

I'm Ashwaq, 24 years old bookworm. I loved stories since my aunt used to tell 'em to me before bed & when I found comic books it was like a huge discovery. I just love stories & especially good ones. I used to be a chick-lit fan but I became bored with them then found myself more into PNR romance and realistic fiction and crime/mystery..

some of my current favorite books are: Bloodlines, Shadow Bound, Angelfall, Fallen, & Easy.

I'm angel and i'm old-er than you guys... i love YA since:
1.) it makes me younger (feel and hopefully, look)
2.) it's fun...

i have lots of favorites that currently includes: die for me, easy, obsidian, graceling and a lot more...

Hi to all! I'm Jona, just turned 25 yesterday, a certified book addict and hoarder! LOL! I'd like to have my own library at home someday! I like all genres except horror! LOL! I have lots of favorite YA books, but I'm more into fantasy and dystopian, and sometimes middle grades. I also love books with gods and goddesses.

Anyway, I really LOVE buddy reads that's why I'm here! So feel free to join and read with everyone!!

First of all, thank you for making this group! I LOVE BUDDY READS! haha, my name's Leigh and I am 16 yrs old. I'm more of a classics type of person but YA books seconds it. Random stuff about me is I play the piano & guitar, my favorite sports are baseball & badminton, and my favorite color is violet. The time when I was in 3rd grade was the time that I began to love reading books (with the book Ramona and Beezus).

I know!!! My mother wanted to name me November (sigh) thank God my grandmother decided to drop the -ber and replace the "m" with an "l". So, in case you're wondering, my parents weren't book fanatics or something, lol. BTW, I loved Easy and Angelfall!

Hi there! Well, you chose the right place to start reading more YA! Watch out for Angel and Jona's posts in the WANTED: Reading Buddy thread--I've known them for awhile and they are certified YA Fantasy addicts. LOL. Loved THG! Uhmm, I haven't read City of Bones yet, but I heard lots of good things about the book. =)

The group was created on your birthday! How cool is that?!? We share the same feeling about horror books. I used to read RL Stine's Goosebumps and Fearstreet but after watching The Exorcism of Emily Rose, I drop all horror stuff altogether (books, short stories, movies, etc.)---they give me nightmares!

Yay! Welcome to the group Leigh! I started reading early too, I think was 6?...but I read Filipino comics back then, haha, anyone have read PINOY KOMIKS here???

I'm Sarah, I'm an author and an editor, I write YA chick lit and comedy under my name, Sarah Billington and horror/thrillers/supernatural and a bit of slip stream fiction under the name Edwina Ray. I'll soon be consolidating it all over to one, rather eclectic author, Sarah Billington. :)

I mostly read YA - pretty much anything and everything, though I haven't gotten into the vampires, werewolves or angels trends. I know, right? That's pretty much what YA WAS for awhile there.

I don't get a lot of time for reading, aside from the awesome books I work on with authors as their editor. But I really really want to read more. Le sigh.

Like everyone on Goodreads, I LOVE reading. I teach part-time, so I have lots of time to read, which is fantastic in my opinion.
I read all genres - horror, thriller, romance... and most of them are YA.
Besides reading, I like drawing.

PS: it is weird that most users on Goodreads are females !?!!?!

Practically, I love reading because it keeps my brain working and active so I won't struggle thinking whenever needed, especially in school. But the main reason why I love reading so much is because it has this magical power that can brings me to different places. Hooray for books :)

I like to read any books mainly the romance/mythical/historical genre and I think the only genre I hate is sci-fi.

Hi all-
I'm Jen from Northern IL. I rediscovered YA books when the Hunger Games came out and have been trying to catch up on all the great reads I missed! It'll be great to discuss and read with someone..I do read fast though if it's a book I enjoy.Paranormal/dystopian/fantasy are my favorite genres. Contemporary sometimes but not often..

I'm usually busy with school work so I don't have a lot of free time but I always carry around a book with me and even amidst the classroom chaos I can always curl up and enjoy a few chapters of my book. My day would not be complete without my books:)

Hi everyone, I'm Emma and I'm 16 years old from Australia :)
I absolutely adore books (esp. YA) and I also love writing as well. Reading distracts me from my school work almost every day, but I don't plan on limiting myself any time soon! I love to read Dystopian YA (Delirium, Divergent, The Hunger Games etc.) but I also love to read romance or contemporary (The Perks of being a Wallflower, Anna and the French Kiss etc.) I've never really been part of a Goodreads group before, so I can't wait to see what everyone has to share and recommend! :)

Hi I am Sara and I am 32 years old with a house full of children. I love YA and NA books! But not those YA books that are too teenagery with the whiny girls, so I try to stick with the ones with 16 and older characters. Not sure how good I would be at a buddy read since if I like a book I love to race through it, but I am willing to give it a try!
