You know what this list is going to do, right? It's going to increase everyone's TBR list by at least 100 books because for sure no one will have read all 1001 that are nominated LOL I've got my clicker finger ready to add them!
Susan (susayq) wrote: "You know what this list is going to do, right? It's going to increase everyone's TBR list by at least 100 books..."LOL! I was thinking the same thing! :D

Thanks, Bookcrazy, Sandra J, Rachel, & Komal!!!! Please let me know if I missed any of yours, or if I posted them in the wrong section (there will be overlap). Remember, the above includes postings from other romance groups.
Susan (susayq) wrote: "oh, Elishia! I love historicals! I have so many that I could suggest for you :)"Ok. I have loads on my computer just never sure.

Got it, Bookcrazy! Thanks... have it on another list, which I will eventually let all of you see. I may bring it here or hyperlink you to it.
Bookcrazy wrote: "and

by the same author? Thanks!
HAHAHA Lisa Kay, did you notice that the book changed when it was quoted? And that it changed to one by PC Cast, just like last time?
Contemporary RomancesThis part of the list is ready for review; check out this link: Posts #3, #4, & #5
This is a BIG project. If your book is missing, please forgive us and just request it again in this thread. If you want to add another book, please also do so in this thread. Thanks!
P.S. Some of this sub-genre has been moved to Romantic Suspense!
Sorry, I was on the way out the door this morning and didn't check the hyperlink in Post #34. However, it is working now! I checked. ☺~LK

I'm surprised that Nicholas Sparks books haven't made it into the list. 2 of his best romance books that I would be reading over and over again would be:
Paranormal :
Fantasy :
Sci-fi :
Suspense :
Viking (and Time Travel) :
Just suggestion, can you make a list of title rather than the cover, Lisa Kay? Its hard to choose which book that not chosen yet. Thanks! ^^
Juliet wrote: "I'm surprised that Nicholas Sparks books haven't made it into the list."We are running this in other groups; he has made it there. Not sure if it was these two books; I'll have to check.
Thanks, Juliet!
Ren wrote: "Just suggestion, can you make a list of title rather than the cover, Lisa Kay? Its hard to choose which book that not chosen yet. Thanks! ^^"Yes, Ren! That is what we are doing. For example, the Classic Romances will look like this:
Classic Romance
The Corinthian - Georgette Heyer
The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas

Emma - Jane Austen
The Enchanted April - Elizabeth von Arnim
Gone With the Wind - Margaret Mitchell

Ivanhoe - Walter Scott

Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë

Little Women - Louisa May Alcott

Madame Bovary - Gustave Flaubert

North and South - Elizabeth Gaskell
Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen

Persuasion - Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

Rebecca - Daphne du Maurier
Romeo and Juliet - William Shakespeare

A Scandal in Bohemia - Arthur Conan Doyle
The Scarlet Pimpernel - Emmuska Orczy
Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen

Twelfth Night - William Shakespeare

Venetia - Georgette Heyer

Wuthering Heights - Emily Brontë

I'm not seeing 2 of Linda Howard's best: After the Night AND
Shades Of Twilight. I agree that all of McNaught's work needs to be on the list.
AtN was there, but not SoT, Lori. Added it. I'll post an updated list - and the link to it. Hang on.
Jude Deveraux's Montgomery series are quite good. The Velvet Promise
Highland Velvet
Velvet Song
Velvet Angel

Okay, here is your chance! We're doing a list, checking it twice (before posting on listopia). What are your top romance books of all time. Something you would say everyone MUST read to make them a well-rounded Romance Reader?
We, of course are interested all romance here in RLftCI, but could you specify the sub-genre? Thanks.
We are doing this in the Happily Ever After Cafe, the Western and Medieval Romance Lovers, and We Love Lisa Kleypas Groups (so you only need to post once). We will be narrowing these down and putting them to a vote here in this group.
Thanks!
P.S. You can PM me, if you want them to be secret. ☺
