on the bus to the airport! 4 to a seat!

Ash sat down by himself, popping headphones in and waiting for everybody else to get on.

Icee sits in the same seat section as Ash but on the end.

Ash turns and makes eye contact, and takes out one earbud and waits to see if he wants to talk.

Icee shrugs and pulls out a book.

Seeing Icee wasn't in a talking mood, Ash stuck his the headphones back in and sung very quietly to himself.

He was rereading Catching Fire. Icee easily zoned everyone out.

He heard or saw nothing.

Ash jumps, not noticing Karana until then. He laughed and took the controller.

Mieko sat down on the row of seats across from Icee's. She took out the tablet she'd bought for her birthday and started doodling.

He watches her, curious.

Okanomi take a seat at the back of the bus, earphones on and listening to music.

'You too. Excited for the trip?' He played as well, focusing on the game.

He smiles at Okanomi.

'Totally.' He grinned as he beat her by a tiny bit.

Okanomi gives a shy smile back still listening to his music.

((Awkward moment.))

'I heard Mexico'

Mieko doesn't notice Icee watching and silently sketches a picture that morf into a boy with chiseled features, thoughtful eyes, and a broody expression. It looks a lot like her version of Icee.

'I really don't know.' he frowns slightly, but then laughs when she wins.

He laughs and types, 'yeah. we wouldnt want them beating us up.'

He watches more, suprised at her sketch.

Okanomi changes the song and turns up the volume.

'Thanks. I worked so hard on it. Sleeping and stuff ya know.' Ash cocks his head, curious about the comment.

Mieko starts shading his face, making it look like there's shadow obscuring half of it, well the other half is in the light. That's when she notices him watching. A blush suffuces her cheeks and she quickly powers down her tablet.

He grins."That was good!"

"It was pretty basic. If I had had more time it would have been drawn better." she said, her accent more prominite than usual, making her roll her R's.

"I see." Icee smiles.

'Yours is cute too.' He sends back with a smile. He starts loosing again.

'Music and skateboarding' he replied witha shrug she couldn't see.

'Alternative and punk.' He thought for a minute, 'What about you?'

"So...we're going to Mexico?"

Okanom's mp3 player dies and he puts it in his pocket, along with the earphones.

'Sure.' He types shortly.

Mieko looked over her shoulder at the boy in the back row curiously. She wondered who he was and were he was from.

Okanomi sighed and looked down at the floor of the bus.

Mieko wasn't really comfortable around boys, but that didn't mean she had to be mean either.
she waved at the boy.

Okanomi looked up and saw the girl waving at him. He thought for a minute and then gave a quick wave back.

Talk to him, or not? Mieko thought. Maybe he'll talk first, and I won't have to say anything.

'Let's try survival.' He types.
((Irony!!))

'Bring it!' He says, positioning his fingers over the controls.

Ash rapidly moves his fingers over the controls, catching up to Karana slowly.

Ash laughs too, but gets a boost and finds himself slightly behind her as the game finnishes.

Ash sighs dramatically, getting his butt whipped that time.

'Of course.' He types, with a deep breath.

((Gonna be gone for a few days, I think. So If I don't comment, sorry.))

'We are." He nods.

"It's kind of funny that I went here to be in America, and now I'm going to Mexico." she said.

Ash typed to Karana, 'Did you hear them? We are going to Mexico.'

Okanomi looks at Mieko. "What's your name?" He said shyly.
