There hasn't been much activity in here of late. Does anybody have any suggestions to improve the group or make it more relevant? New ideas welcome.

Bryn Hammond (brynhammond) | 16 comments Can we simply post about books we've read in translation? Is there a thread for that? (I only joined you the other day). Or, topics for areas of the world?

Hi Bryn, that's a good idea. I think that's what we've been doing under the 'Recommendations' heading, though, which is share books we've read in translation.

Areas of the world is a good idea. Maybe languages of the world too.

Nate D (rockhyrax) | 17 comments Where would one put one's own translations? I'm applying my really terrible French to an untranslated Roland Topor book and will post my own translations if anyone would like to read them.

Rosemary (rcrumpsi) | 1 comments I just finished The Shadow of the Sun by Ryszard Kapuscinksi and Translated from the Polish by
Klara Glowczewska. He was the first journalist from Poland to cover Africa, arriving in 1957 just as the end of Colonization was beginning. It is a great read. Full of adventure. I recommend it highly.
