Death Note
question
SPOILERS!! DO NOT READ UNLESS FINISHED WHOLE BOOK!!
Yeah, BB was a smart and cunning monster. though it remains unclear how he got the shinigami eyes.
I just thought also the names of the victims were a little bit silly, like it would have been better if they had actual names, made it more enjoyable.
It was too fanfictiony for me.

It kinda annoyed me, that in one of the reviews, this guy was saying he figured out who the killer was in the first few chapters. Like really? Ryusaki was acting, speaking and looking like how he was in the manga and there was no way L was a serial killer and you suspected him? Even the way he was leading Naomi on, playing 2 roles, playfully asking if she thought 'Ryusaki' was cool, was completely in character. The author used our preconceptions to trick us. There was no reason to suspect him if you have read the manga. With mystery novels (or movies), there is always going to be someone claiming (with the obvious aid of hindsight) that it was 'obvious who the killer was from the start'.
I think one plausible explaination could be in the rules of the death note! One of the rules states that shinigamis can't humans can't have sex. It's plausible that before this rule, a shinigami and human did have sex & the result was BB
