Back to School Quarterly Challenge

It’s about time to head back to school ‘round here.

For this 3 month challenge you will need to pick up some school supplies, a way to carry your supplies and then pick a major.

Duration: August 13th to November 15th


Category 1-Elementary School Supplies
Starting with the basics pick out supplies you may need for school.

5-9 items - Glue Eater
10-14 items- Class Clown
15-19 items- Teachers Pet
20+ items- Honor Roll

1. # 2 Pencils- Read the second book in a series, or a book with a yellow cover.
2. Glue Sticks- Read a book that has characters who have been together forever, friends or lovers; or has a character named Elmer
3. Box of Tissues- Read a tear jerker or any book that made you tear up.
4. Pink Eraser- Read a pink book or a book where a character loses their memory.
5. Notebook/ Filler Paper- Read a book that you wish had more pages.
6. Crayons- Read a book with a character who is not the sharpest crayon in the box or a colorful cover.
7. Ruler-Read a book with a King or Queen as an influential character.
8. Red Pen-Read a book with a red cover or a character who keeps making mistakes.
9. Yellow Highlighter-Read a book with a yellow cover or where a character gets hair done.
10. Protractor-Read a book on a different "angle" from what you usually read.
11. 3 Brad Folder- Read a book that is part of a trilogy.
12. Zip Lock Bags- Read a book that is the last in a series or a stand alone.
13. Old Shirt-Read a book with a character who is some sort of artist.
14. Non-Marking Gym Shoes-Read a book with a character who plays a sport.
15. Markers- Read a novella, the kind you typically don’t need a book marker for.
16. Scissors-Read a book with a sword or knife on the cover, or as a prominent item in the story.
17. Pencil Pouch- Read a book with a character who keeps their emotions all bottled up, or is good at multitasking.
18. Book Cover- Read a book whose cover you really like.
19. Calculator- Read a book with a number in the title.
20. Recorder- Read a book where music is a main plot point.
21. Dictionary- Read a book with 400+ pages.
22. Dry Erase Markers- Read a book with a character who has a big change happen in their life.

Back in my days of high school how you carried your supplies said a lot about you. For this section spell out how you would carry your stuff to class, or were you too cool and left your books in your locker? You can use Title, Author, Series or Character name.

Yes, cross-challengeing is encouraged. You can wait to declare your major. Just like in college, take a few classes, experiment, see what works for you, before deciding. And then if it just isn't working out switch majors half way through.

Mmmm....Coffee...I already had a cup, but can I have another? I really try to limit my intake but its coffee!!

I need 2 cups of coffee before I begin to feel human. I wanted to cutback too, but I think I'd fall asleep at my desk... Plus I have really yummy liquid coffee creamer and it's SOO tasty!

Yeah, I have to have 2 cups too. But the way I drink it there is just as much milk as coffee so it probably is only a little more than 1 normal cup.
