Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry discussion

Traditionally, prefects have played a major role in daily life at Hogwarts. Several months ago, the mods introduced a group of disorganized prefects, who quickly fell apart. However, in light of the creation of the new forum, the mods have decided it is time to reintroduce the concept of a prefect. The prefects who are selected will be prefects both on the Goodreads group, as well as the forum.

We are also in search of a Head Girl and Boy. They will have modified administrator priviliges on both the Goodreads group and forum, as well. They will have to devote more time to the group and forum than a prefect. Please note that you can not apply for more than one position. You should fill out the form below once and only once.

Prefects and the Head Girl and Boy will...
-gain access to the "Prefects' Lounge" portion of the form
-gain certain moderator privileges
-receive small tasks to complete within the forum and group to aid the staff
-aid newer forum members
-etc.

Please remember that we can only select two prefects from each house, one girl and one boy. If three Gryffindor girls apply for the same position, and no girls apply for the Hufflepuff position, one of them may be transferred to Hufflepuff, instead.

Why You Want the Position: I would like this position becasue i have improved my grammer and that i think this charrie my weird mind has created will be interesting. I intend to increase excessively my comments daily. I wish that this charrie will exceed my Harry Potter RP and make it more interesting for me and everyone else. One Idea to Improve/Add on to the Group or Forum: I think ther could be a twist. Maybe there could be a war. Maybe the death eaters could make a sudden attak or there could be spys and imposter sin the school. They lock down the school guarding all the doors and the teachers and students have to make their way around hogwarts trying to take over area by area without getting killed trying to get the whole school back.

Why You Want the Position: I would like this position because I love helping others. Prefects are not only followers of the rules, they help others to be better people. I also love love love this Harry Potter roleplay group and I am ready to take a further step of responsibility in this group. I hope I can help make this group better!

One Idea to Improve/Add on to the Group or Forum: I think in the group, there should be a time. One of my charries is Nymphadora Tonks, but since there isn't a particular time, she's still alive. But it's a bit weird, because if Fleur's son is alive, then Tonks should be dead already. So maybe every month of the year could be a different standard time. (e.g. Jan is harry's first year; Feb is harry's second year; and so on until July is harry's seventh year; and back to august is harry's first year) I know it might be a confusing, but it could work. Instead of the jumbled-up times now. So maybe if it is June, then Sirius should not roleplay yet, since he, well, died.

Why You Want the Position: I love telling people what to do (hehe) and following rules. It really bugs me when people don't follow them, and I will do my best helping both mysefl and others do so.
One Idea to Improve/Add on to the Group or Forum: It's really good already, so this is hard......but....... I would have us reach out more to new members who don't know what they're doing, because many (like me!) didn't know/ don't know how to RP, make a character, etc. I would make a thread explaining how to do those things, and have people ask a question about that specifically. And I would also have some more exciting thing happen, like have a new bad guy/Voldemort type-thing come and try ro rule the world. Or maybe have the Death eaters have another battle against Hogwarts.

One Idea to Improve/Add on to the Group or Forum: As I have said before, I would like to add more to the existing Hogwarts Express thread so that we could actually have the entering/leaving school
experiance. I also have said that I think that I could add more threads that would be out in the magical world rather than jsut things at the school so that graduated characters have a chance to live more.

Daily Time Spent on Group: I'm on my phone all day, except for thursdays. Im homeschooled, so im literally on all day.

Why You Want the Position: Because i'd really like to help, because i love this group, and i am on very often. I'm also very good at roleplaying so id like to do something more productive for the group.

One Idea to Improve/Add on to the Group or Forum: I have a few ideas for new areas, and an idea for a teachers system so thats there is always a teacher for each class, and im trying to start a new "Villian" With my chracter Bellatrix L. so it will bring some action to the group. I think we should also do more for characters that have already graduated, because they can't do much else after that.
