Maryam Mine was dobby's and Fred's I was so depressed about their deaths and the movie interpretation of dobby's death was spot on.What's yours??

Melissa In the books, I probably cried over Lupin's and Tonk's death the most. But after when I watched Deathly Hallows Part 2, I cried quite a bit when Snape died.

Avani To be honest, I'm not a crier. I didn't cry at any death. I think the movie interpretation of Snape's death was the closest I got to crying, though. It was just amazing and honestly, better than the book version of it.

Jeni In the books, I just bawled like a baby when Sirius died. I felt so awful for Harry. But in the movies, Snape's death was done really well, as Avani said, and I just cry like crazy every time I see it.

Johnathan I didn't cry, but Fred's death was the hardest for me. I mean he was a favorite of mine since the first book.

Snape's death for me was good. I know he was a hero in the end, but i still didn't like the guy.

brianna meyers. i cried so hard when snape died i hated him so much in the other books but in the deathly hallows part two when i realised snape actually cared for harry i loved him and i was so heartbroken when he died becuz of how much he cared for lily and harry and how he hele lily the night she died sorry for it being so long :(

brianna meyers. *held lily* sorry for the misspell

Hufflepuff_princess cried? i didnt cry during any of the deaths but i did WALE, im not kidding. my sister turned her music up full volume and chut her door because she could hear my annoying crying.

wow ya if i would have been any more emotional i would have done the same thing :)

Claire P Snape and Dobby. I just felt that Dobby had had such a difficult life, and still remained such a positive spark that I hated for things to end for him that way. And Snape, what can I say? I always believed in him, even when he was painted with the blackest brush. He did his duty, to be sure.

Exactly! And Snape was incredibly loyal. His last words were "You have your mother's eyes...", at least in the movie. Which I thought was better than the book portrayal of his death.

In all honesty, Snape was a perfect blend of all the Houses. He had the ambition of a Slytherin, the loyalty of a Hufflepuff, the smarts of a Slytherin, and the courage of a Gryffindor.

we hufflepuffs would gladly take him in

Sarah Dobby. OMG, the scene where Harry is digging the grave with his own hands rather than use magic was so moving I was bawling my eyes out. And Snape's after reading The Prince's Tale chapter because I've understood the significance of Snape's last request before he died. The last thing he wanted to see before he dies is a vision of Lily's eyes. Heady stuff. That one is.

Natalie Dobby. Fred. Snape. Tonks. Lupin. Hedwig. Sirius. Dumbledore. OMG, I was crying SO hard when ALL of this people died ( ok, Hedwig and Dobby WERE pople for me). And- surprisingly- I cryied even when BELLATRIX died and she nearly as evil as Umbrige! I was so close with all of this characters... I simply can't choose this one, that I miss the most.

Thats right Hufflepuffs with their loyalty and friendship... do you have Pottermore??

In all I cried over Dumbledore's death the most. Sobbed, did the ugly cry for about an hour. Don't judge me:)

Kathryn The books always made me cry! and not just at deaths either LOL As for the deaths I cried at Dumbledore's (I didn't know how things were going to keep going on after he died) I think I took Hedwig's and Dobby's the hardest.. I balled at Hedwig's death and that is the one I can't get out of my head. I also felt that Dobby's story wasn't done - he wasn't ready to die.

Snape, although Sirius, Fred, Tonks, and Lupin were all close seconds. :(

mercy Snape

Kristy Snape.

That's okay, we Slytherins gladly claim him as ours :)

dobby in the books. snape in the movies.

Jasmine Honestly? Harry. Even though he didn't really die, I was the closest to crying when he was on his way over to face Voldemort preparing to die. The build up was so sad and being inside his head made it more poignant than the others. Fred was the second saddest for me though.

Sheri Morris In the movie Professor Snape...the book Fred.

Dobby and fred in the book and the movie. When Snape died it was soo sad and scary in the movie

AmandaP I'm not one to cry but i did let out a tear for Fred and Hedwig almost got me.

Brianna I basically cried whenever anyone died, but I cried the most when Fred died. I couldn't handle that. The Weasely twins were one of my favorites. Once he died, I closed the book & couldn't read it for like a week because I was still so upset.

Stephanie Fred. What's a twin without his other half. Sad face :(

dobby's death

Debbie Dombledore`s death. I`m with kathryn on this one, I was not sure how the stoy would carry on after he died.

Adina Dombeldore! reading it was so sad!

:D as I said, in spirit, he embodied traits from all four houses. I'd say Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor have one fifth of him each, and Slytherin has two fifths because he was actually in Slytherin ;)

Bayan Oh Snape, he was my favorite character, even when I thought he was evil. I also was bumped when Sirius Black and Fred died.

Jay Grace wrote: "Sirius' death was the most profound since he was the first person Harry cared about that had died (besides his parents). More emotional since Sirius had promised Harry could live with him - another..."

spot on!

message 36: by Mika (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mika Fred and Dumbledore..
Dumbledore is my favorite character.
I loved him
and I never expected Fred to die.. Just the thought of how George is now is heartbreaking.
Also Dobby and Snape (although I didnt cry over Snape until i read "The Prince's tale".

Victoria Grefer I cried when Dobby died. I SOOO cried over Dobby!!!

message 38: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara I become emotionally attached to characters without a doubt and I cried when Dumbledore died and when they described the funeral when everyone gathered together from all over the wizarding world. So very sad, I also shed many a tear or two over the deaths of the others as well especially Dobby and even Hedgwig, one of Harry's first friends.

Jools Melissa wrote: "In the books, I probably cried over Lupin's and Tonk's death the most. But after when I watched Deathly Hallows Part 2, I cried quite a bit when Snape died."

Same as me,These got me in the books and the film. though i have to say when Dobby died in Deathly Hallows P1 i cried. But

The Library Lizard between Dobby (a free elf!), Dumbledore and Sirius.

Cat Dumbledore,Sirius,Lupin,Tonks,Snape,Fred,Dobby and Hedwig. Since Lupin and Tonks had a child, it was even more emotional. I feel like I knew these characters and had a connection to them. It is so sad that they died.

message 42: by Bob (new) - rated it 4 stars

Bob I've never cried because of a book, I have become very angry when reading before though.

Katie Hedwig and Fred undid me. I think because they were sort of minor characters that were seemingly always around. Just a surprise that they died.. and I cried even harder when I realized that George would have to live his life without his twin - his best friend, his partner, his blood.

Mylinh Dangle Sirius. Poor Harry, when he has just found out that he has a godfather, and he can move out with him, Sirius died. It was feel like the whole things are falling apart, and he, Harry, was hopeless. It was so difficult to hold back my tears back then. Well yes, Tonks, Lupin were, too. They've just got their son, Ted.

message 45: by Aaditya (last edited Aug 06, 2012 12:39AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Aaditya Mandalemula I did not exactly cry, but the nearest I got to crying is when Dumbledore died. I do occasionally cry over sentimental scenes in films. But while reading books, I never actually cried. Frank Capra's 'It's a Wonderful Life' movie climax, I was happy and crying. With books, no book touched me so much to get my tears flowing.

Bigcoffinhunter Reyes Dumbledore. i was a mess. i was on the floor in my room with tissues all around me and i was a mess for a week after i finished the book.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Tonks and Lupin. I had tears STREAMING streaming down my face and was totally messed up whenever anyone said ANYTHING :(

Minnie Dobby, Tonks and Lupin. I just couldn't help myself.

Django Dobby's death was written saddest, but Fred was one of my two favorites!

Madeline dobby's and Fred's i cried a lot from the book and the movie. Also of Tonks and Lupin cause they just had a baby!!!!
