Aaron walked in. so many girls. and only 5 of them were here!
Cori had been wandering around taking in the royal atmosphere around her breathing in the air that always had a hint of something flowery. ("Lavender, maybe?" she wrote it down anyways.) She came upon what she assumed to be the dining room with a long table and more chairs than she could count. She was almost lost in the beauty of this one room until she was startled by a man in the room.
Aaron saw one of the selected girl coming in "good day Miss" he said
"so what do you think of my home" he asked. the girl seemed nice. he was not sure how to act around all the selected since he had so many duties as a prince.
His home? she thought. OH THIS WAS AARON. She adjusted her posture her posture a little, and tried to sound as regal as she could.
"It's gorgeous here." She looked around motioning. "The intricacy is amazing. From the curtains to the Corinthian style pillars... it's truly stunning."
he smiled "thank you, but please be yourself around me" he said "i wish to know you for who you are, not for who you try to be" he said
She slouched a little and wiped her forehead."Oh, okay good. Now that that's over with," she stuck out her hand. "I'm Coriander Monty. But you can call me Cori." She smiled brightly.
"nice to meet you Cori" he said as he shook her hand and smiled.
"yes, indeed i am" he said "sorry, but i am a bit nervous" he said with a small smile
Cori actually laughed at this. "You're nervous? I'm the one who's in a giant castle standing in front of a Prince. But you don't need to be nervous. I don't bite."
his smile widened a little "well, soon another 30 girls are going to come here, and i need to get to now them all and tell 34 of them that they are not 'the one'" he said. "i have plenty reason to be nervous"
"Truce," she smiled. "What do you do for fun here? I could probably get lost in here and call it a hobby."
he laughed at that "i have lived here all my life and I still get lost at times" he said. "i usually go riding with my friend Charlie, but he seems to be occupied, so would you care to join me?" he asked
he gave her his arm. when she took it he lead her to the stables.

Prince Aaron entered with his family.
Aaron smiled "Good evening Miss" he said polity.
Aaron's parent sat down at their seats.

Aria came into the room "well, i thought more girls would be here now" she said "well, no matter. Thank you for coming Miss Jamie. this diner was not mandatory." she said "it was mainly a way for me to test you. you will be served now" she said. everyone in the room was severed. "Any of the girls who are not here will be served food in their rooms if they do not come in the next 15 minutes" she said as she left the room.

Aaron looked at the girl "do you like the palace?" he called to her.
Aaron smiled a little "there is no need to be nervous" he said "we won't bite" he said
Aaron did not buy it, but he played along. he nodded. "which province are you from?" he asked
he smiled a little. "Father and i visited once." he said. the place was very crowded. "nice and Quiet" he said, still playing along.
Keziah held Maya's hand as she walked in the dining room. But only Jamie and the family were there. Was she interrupting something? She hoped not, and she helped her blind sister in a seat, and sat next to her.
Coriander walked in quietly, half hoping she wouldn't be seen, half hoping she would be welcomed. She took a seat and quietly listened in only glancing at the royal family.
Cori looked over at the other Selected girls. They looked so... friendly. Had they known each other before? She shrugged it off. She was fine.
Aaron watched all the girls pile in.
Aria was a little disappointed at the girls. she had a lot to teach them.
plates were placed in front of the girls that came in recently.

Cori looked up at Jaime, whom she had found smiling at her. She rethought her plan. She had to make friends, she was gonna be here a long time. They're better than enemies. "I think we met before. At the airport right?" she stole a glance at Aaron. He was right, he had a right to be nervous. All these girls, telling each one they weren't right for him.
"Ah, see I knew you looked familiar," Cori said. "Haven't seen you since, what have you been up to?"
"Ooh secrets already, huh?" she teased. "I've only been in the garden briefly, but I'll have to go check it out."
Cori laughed. "It's alright, I won't tell," she said hoping she wasn't making Jaime too uncomfortable.
The cooks came out, with this meal for each girl: http://janinecifelli.com/images/Dinin...
this was just the appetizer (it is fish)
this was just the appetizer (it is fish)
She looked at this small dish in front of her. Analyzing every detail, putting it to memory for her master article later. She even poked at it at one point, but made sure no one was looking before she did. She took the littlest fork at her place mat and readied herself. Waiting for everyone else to begin. She bit into it.
How could this only be an appetizer?! It was seasoned to a T and was almost melting in her mouth. It cut like butter and tasted masterfully smoked. Cori had never eaten a finer fish in her life. She tried to contain her awe to just her mouth, as not to look un-classy in front of royalty. One thing she could write for sure was that the palace had no rival in the quality of food.
Instead of eating her appetizer, Keziah helped Maya until she was eating herself. When she was set, Keziah ate hers slowly, not meeting the eyes of anyone. Geez, I feel so awkward.
Cori saw Mr. Glee's disapproving look and looked down at her lap. Glancing back up at Keziah. "That's really sweet of you. Helping her, I mean."
Lyra looked at everyone having small talk and tried to find her voice. She had just told a very personal story to Cori and Hillary, but she still had trouble making friends, she just wasn't sure what to do.
Keziah looked up at Cori, and smiled. "Thanks. She's my sister." Maya followed the voice, and looked at Cori. "Hiya!" She said cheerfully, smiling broadly.
"Ah, you're lucky you have a good sibling." Cori spoke in a hushed tone still. Almost getting lost in her words. Xan. No she refused to think of him now. She looked to the other girl. "I'm Cori, and I would shake your hand but I'm afraid that man in the corner might skin me alive."
