It is sometimes like this, no time at all over the last weeks, having to get up earlier, and oh yes, cut down my GR time to make the time for reading some mornings I dont even turn the computer on. A book suffers when it is neglected, especially if one hasn't had the time yet to bond with the characters,
I just finished Bring Up the Bodies which I loved. Also just read Gone Girl which I enjoyed so much I went & read her Dark Places which I also enjoyed very much. Currently, I'm in the middle of Broken Harbour (very, very good). Still plodding my way through Gravity's Rainbow which I've discovered I actually like, but it's still very difficult.
Realize why I "love" so many books I read/am reading: if I don't, I stop reading!
yes its hard to read a book when there is no love,or at least interest. I bet tho if you focused just on Gr and let it carry you, the last part goes way faster and is sheer joy.I am enjoying Savage Breast: One Man's Search for the Goddess but for some reason I dont LOVE it but find it fascinating and enjoyable.
StartedSebastian's Pride which is a family dynasty unfolding in Argentina. i will take it with me to the parade to read when i need a break on the float.
You're on a float? Cool.I think when school finally ends in a couple of weeks, I'll focus on GR & have better concentration.
Enjoying

.Also still working on some Rebus books by Ian Rankin.
Time to get some holiday (September) reading together.
All is well, albeit very busy - Grandson No 2 is still awaited in the next couple of weeks.
having had very little time to read lately, but did finish Sebastian's Prideand reading this in the park suddenly I was crying and had a hard time stopping. It was the whole idea of the generations vowing to do things differently and making the same kind of alienating mistakes, and the impact of small deceptions. At work I casually started John HawkesSweet William: A Memoir of Old HorseIts kinda harsh. But I am enjoying it, more than St' Lucy's home for girls raised by wolves by Karen Russell which isnt listed with GR today, but was when I added it a few days ago.??? see it on my home page. In fact, I'll do my updates now.
