My favorite game rejoins goodreads.

Here's a new forum game.

The person posting above you will post something they wish for, then you post that it's granted but somehow make it undesirable.

Example:
I wish I had a million dollars.

Granted, but it's all in pennies.

After you've corrupted the previous person's wish, post your own.

I wish I had a new car.

Lolz, then you post a new wish for someone else to corrupt.

Nice, but we still need someone to post a new wish.

Granted, but you end up simply unable to do them. (As opposed to it being complicated but reaching the same result; keyword: try.)

I wish I would not procrastinate so much on homework.

Granted,butyou overwork and die of exhaustion

Granted, you are like Icarus--you fly too high up, your wings melt, and you plummet to your death in the ocean.

I wish I had all the knowledge in the world.

Granted, instead, there are such sweltering winds that everything shrivels up and dies.

I wish I had a pet.

Granted, but they get everyone else's food and shelter, successfully flipping the social classes.

I wish the sun was emerald colored.

Granted, but then the whole world will turn to an emerald like color and everything will be hard to see.

I wish fighting would stop all around the world.

Granted, so fighting starts among the aliens. Said aliens decide to invade earth---> KABOOM!

I wish people wouldn't need to worry.

Granted, but then people will be too carefree and then they will get careless.

I wish global warming would stop.

Granted, but then global cooling begins.

(Lame, but I couldn't help it. XD)

I wish there were no parasites.

Granted, but then other animals that eat parasites would die.

I wish I could go to a very good college.

Granted, but your family goes broke trying to pay tuition and you break down from overcompetition.

I wish I had a coconut tree.

Granted, but when you eat one of the coconuts, you die from some tropical disease.

I wish we didn't have so many Accel Sci assignments.

Granted, but then you won't get prepared for college.

I wish I was a better cellist than somebody.

Granted, but than someone else becomes ten times better than you.

I wish I had more money.

Granted, but then you will get greedy and then you will want even more.

I wish I could live in Korea for awhile. (Not exactly true)

Granted, but you end up stuck in Korea.

Granted, but it will start to annoy you because it just sits there.

I wish I could help the charity.

Granted but the charity turns out to be part of a Ponzi scheme and goes bankrupt the next day. (Curse you Madoff)

I wish I could speak Chinese fluently

Granted, but you forget English/American (because most Americans speak a caricature of English)...and still live in America.

I wish that I knew more about math.

Granted, but you go through agonizing math tutoring to do so.

I wish I could cook.

Granted, but you accidentally burn your house down one day trying to prepare a dish.

I wish all my wishes were flawless.

but that defies the point of the game and so you're struck by lightning.

I wish I was better at writing.

I think that's cheating, Frances. I'd say: granted, but your perception of "flawless" changes as you get older, and you end up miserable.

Granted, but you get better than you currently are, so grade crazy IBers assault you in a dark alley. Or the parking lot.

An alternative: Granted, but Bray and Bratteng decide to gang up on you and you die of homework overkill.

Bray and Bratteng are the two most amazing freshman teachers, aside from Pritchard, but they teach WAS and Accel Sci. So...yeah. XD

PS, victor, this is the cruelest game invented. Killing people because they wish they had something isn't exactly my sole cause for fun. Still, this is amusing.
