I love the series because it's fun and different.

So I have a theory about Elemental, the prequel...only click on this if you've read Storm.

(view spoiler)[Do you think that Michael's girl isn't dead because we were told that it happened instead of being shown all of the details in Storm? Or do you all think she's dead and that Michael will find a new love in his own book (which I assume will happen)? (hide spoiler)]

Also, I'm curious if anyone who read the prequel first was shocked to find out what had happened with (view spoiler)[the death (hide spoiler)] in Storm. The way Elemental ended did not clue us in to that at all.

I've not finished Storm yet, and you're the devil for making me want to click the spoilers.

I was surprised when starting Storm who it was featuring. At first I was like..."wtf is this shit?!" As I read on I came to like it, but Im still curious for the back story as to what in the hell happened between the novella and the first book.

I was totally surprised (view spoiler)[that Emily was dead! I wasn't expecting that at all after the ending of Elemental. I was so sad for Michael. It didn't occur to me that she might still be alive, Stacia! That could be an interesting twist. That, or he'll find new love but be very wary due to having lost Emily. (hide spoiler)] Love this series because it is so different and the characters are great and I think Ms. Kemmerer is a pretty darn good writer.

Well I read Storm first, and I REALLY disliked Michael at the begining. He was such a jerk! And then I started seeing little signs that there was a reason for the way he was behaving. And then by the end of the book I really liked him! Aaaaand then I read the prequel, Elemental, and oh my my. Michael, I am so sorry I was ever mean to you!
I personally don't think (view spoiler)[that Emily is alive. I think Michael will get his own HEA in his own book. Or t lest I hope so. (hide spoiler)]

Ok, for those of you who read Storm. Did any of you (view spoiler)[ end up falling for Hunter?? I so totally did! So much, that I kind of wanted Chris(well not out of the picture) to find someone else. Which is COMPLETELY bonkers since this was HIS book!
I guess what I enjoyed was the "True" love triangle that was developed. It was very realistic. Becca developed feelings for Hunter, but its didn't erase that attraction she felt towards Chris. See? Feelings and attraction. No love at first sight people!
But ofcourse Hunter had to have his own agenda(which I suspected too. Too good to be true, I thought). And i actually liked the ending of the book, where Chris after hearing that Becca broke up with Hunter, FINALLY makes his move. I liked the fact that the book ends there. I want more insight of Becca and Chis in book 2 though. (hide spoiler)]

Can't wait to read Fearless to see what my lovely Hunter is been up to...

Interesting! I wanted her with Chris but I did like Hunter just as much. Fearless was sort of odd because it takes place before Storm. I guess for whatever reason, the author must have wanted us to read it afterward.

Although, it looks like Hunter is book 3.

I really like Gabriel but I have to admit that I'm most curious about his twin because we know nothing about him.

So its another prequel? Still good though right?

You know, I thought I was gona be the only one pinning over Nick, cause you know, Gabriel is a hottie and he's on the forefront of Storm. But there is just something about Nick that calls to me. I want to know soooo much more about him!
I feel like Gabriel is gonna be the Rhage(BDB) of this series, and ofcourse everyone is gonna be all over him. Heck, I might be all over him after reading his book!

At least that's how I interpreted it because he was super nervous and scared around a girl he met, and he wasn't like that in Storm AT ALL, so I assumed it had to have been from before. It is a good read but not the same type of jaw-dropper that Elemental was.

She's also a sweet person. Very classy. I had a chance to speak with her and she's extremely supportive of reviewers, even if it means she gets negative reviews. Not all authors are like that.

I'm trying not to read any of this...yet, but would you recommend reading Storm or Elemental first?

Elemental if you have a choice.

I'd say definitely read Elemental first. Its really short but gives you some important insight into things in Storm.

Okay, I'm going to be reading Storm today, I'm totally on the bandwagon!

Okay, so I'm reading Storm now and I don't hate Michael at all. I actually feel really bad for him. Maybe it's because I read Elementals first, but I feel like he's just trying (view spoiler)[to protect them. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place. He knows how it feels to want to strike back, but if he does they'll come after them. I'm not sure yet why he's so angry at Becca (or what she represents), and what he did was dickwadish but I feel like it's obvious that there's a story there. The brothers being so angry is hard to read, I feel bad for him (hide spoiler)]... but again, maybe it's because I read Elementals first.

IMO reading Elemental first would have helped alot in (view spoiler)[my liking or understanding of Michael from the get go. I struggled with him until I realized there was a reason for the way he behaved. (hide spoiler)]
I ended up really liking him by the end of Storm, but what ended up REALLY selling him to me was Elemental.

I thought he was great in Elemental.

Oh wow, I finished! Man, that was so good! I wish the other one was out now. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

Stacia, I definitely think (view spoiler)[Emily is dead. It's sad, because I really liked her and Michael and it's so sad how it's affected him. Especially having caused it. I definitely thought that part of the reason Michael was the way he was had to do with her dying, I just didn't know how. So sad. It's sorta Tohr-esque. So I think he'll get an HEA later (hide spoiler)].

Carina, I (view spoiler)[wanted her with Chris too. And I was so upset that she kept thinking he was a bad guy. The author did a good job of portraying them as victims and it really sucked reading it. So I wanted her with Chris. That's not to say I didn't like Hunter, because I totally did. But I have to admit that I had a feeling Hunter was lying about something, that he had something do with the Guide. In fact, I pretty much thought right away that her Dad did too (hide spoiler)]. Didn't matter though, didn't make me like the book less. It was really freaking good, loved it.

Did anyone else notice how good the author was at pinpointing what girls find sexy. There was no weird scenes where I was going 'what, that's not sexy'. Like the whole taco scene in Hush Hush with Patch and Nora. How Patch was all 'I'll teach you how to make tacos'. I read this and my brows furrowed in confusion. Taco's are like, the easiest thing in the world to make. It's literally just browning meat and chopping veggies. So that scene always struck me as odd, not hot. Well there was no time like that in this book. What girl doesn't like when a sexy boy's shirt rides up and you get that glimpse of abdomen? I mean, yeah. I was impressed with that, she translated attraction well. Give me a guy who wears tshirts and jeans, occasionally flashing just s sliver of abdomen over a sparkly alabaster chest any day.

I'm happy to see that Storm continued to be good for you!

The ones they have here aren't really my cup of tea either


But I'm pretty excited to read Spark soon. Maybe it's the slight pyromaniac inside me but I can't wait..

As much as I loved Hunter, I knew he had an agenda. Not as the guide. Cause I figured her dad as the guide too, but I knew he had something.

Who read ? At the end there's a sneakpeak chapter for Spark. Something happens in it, plus a scene in Storm, that makes me think that (view spoiler)[Nick's girl is going to be Quinn... he certainly seems awful interested in her (hide spoiler)]!

Ahh so many spoilers I want to click! I'm only about 30% in to the first book but loving it so far. Just havent had much reading time lately.

(hide spoiler)] I'm trying to remember now and think I'm getting my books confused because I read two close together where (view spoiler)[in one I think the guy's going to hook up with the girl he was snapping at, and in the other, I think he's going to hook up with the girl he felt protective over. Quinn is (view spoiler)[Becca's best friend. It was when she did the cheer routine and Nick was said to be 'looking' at her. Then in the first chapter of Spark the pick her up and Nick's like 'we can get you any time', all intrested (hide spoiler)].

Wendy, I have to agree even though I didn't torment myself with the Spark sneak peak.

I liked Micheal and I don't think that is just because I did read Elemental first. He may have been hard but I think he was in a hard situation and at such a young age.

I really like these book(s) but I figured things out really early.(view spoiler)[Am I the only one who had Becca pegged as a fifth by the time Chris explained things to her? (I suspected her elementalness but that was like !!! going off in my brain and was like YES!!! THATS IT!!! (hide spoiler)] This didn't detract from the book(s), it was rather fun seeing it all unfold.

This is one of those books where I keep guessing stuff before its revealed but I don't mind it at all like in other books.

Thats a really good theory Wendy. How do you feel about a (view spoiler)[Nick/Quinn couple? I personally like Quinn. She's honest and straight forward. And it seems like a little reckless but its probably all the crap she has going on at home.
Besides, they say opposites attract right and Nick is funny but in a different way than Quinn. I'm curious now! (hide spoiler)]

Book 2 has had me in smiles pretty much the entire time and I'm only 20% in.

Can't wait until you guys read this.

Carina, I like it! (view spoiler)[I think that they would make a great couple. He'd probably calm her some. Sometimes Quinn got on my nerves, but mostly I didn't mind her and I liked that she was muscular and stocky. She's a good fit for Nick, if I'm right (hide spoiler)].

Hmm. Book 4 (out next year) will be based on Nick's story as well. I wonder if it will be good, because tbqh, I didn't really love him in Book 2.

Loving the cover though, the background is so bright!

I'm actually thinking we'll be surprised when it comes to Nick. He's sort of always been taken for granted, so he has to have some bitterness when it comes to that. Who knows what's going on in his head? Does he feel unnoticed at times?

I liked Nick, actually. I think that his (view spoiler)[relationship with Quinn was sweet, and despite the fights I thought his relationship with Gabriel was sweet too (hide spoiler)]. He's just the good brother.

I'n looking forward to Nick's book! I think relationship with Quinn has a lot to go through still. Quinn definitely gives a feel that her home life is very damaged and I think that's gonna play a big part in their relationship too, combined with Nick's troubled life.

I love the little shorts we get in between books, while we wait for the books. They give a REALLY nice insight into upcoming stories.

I think the one I'll be more excited about it Michaels!!!

Um, is it just me, but when I read the summary for this book...is Nick going to be gay? Let me be clear-I have no problem with that, but it's not what I expected with the whole Quinn thing in the last book.

I'm okay with that - I didn't like Quinn in Spark. I thought she was overly rude to Gabe and made inappropriate comments to him in his own home! And then people took her side. I wanted to slap her for Gabe. I guess it is safe to say I hope she isn't in the next book. lol

I'm definitely on the Elemental series bandwagon. I finished Storm and now want to read the next. I can honestly say I have never liked a series so much.
