Moning Maniacs discussion

So in Faefever, on page 243 in the hardback copy and kind of near the middle if chapter 13, Mac receives an anonymous message and Barrons asked if its from V'lane. Then they share a moment. Mac looks to Barrons for comfort, he tries to resist, but then he says, "Do not show it to me again?" Mac asked what he would do and he replies "what's is in my nature, to get inside". But I'm just wondering what "it" is? What is he talking about there? Any answers?

My guess? Get in the problem and eliminate it...But then again, it's Barrons. Who the hell really knows what he's talking about?
